Introduction

Before I start, let me say that this is going to be quite a ride. Batten down the hatches! This is a very serious subject matter the Lord has given me to write about, and I cannot proceed without Him. I am following the directions of the Holy Spirit.

Let’s talk about the word entrenched, which He gave me to use. Entrenched is an adjective. An adjective is a word that tells us more about a noun. Entrenched means firmly established and difficult or unlikely to change, ingrained, set, 1 Colossians 1:23, translated from Greek 1476.¹ It is an attitude, habit or belief. It means to be established.

When the Holy Spirit used the word entrenched, I thought of how war soldiers dig trenches in war time to provide a place of shelter from enemy fire, especially trenches with the excavated dirt thrown in front as added depth.
