About this ebook

This book is the second greatly expanded edition of the previous booklet "Quantum Entanglement and the Collective Unconscious". It collects the best contributions published by the author in his blogs, social networks and sites in Italian, translated into English.

The reader will be amazed at the originality of the arguments. From the happy marriage between quantum physics and Carl Jung's collective unconscious, a new metaphysics of the universe is born and a place emerges in which matter and spirit collaborate and are guided by cosmic synchronicities to lead man towards incredible evolutionary projects.

Carl Jung and Wolfgang Pauli worked respectively in the field of psyche and in that of matter. These two sectors are considered absolutely incompatible with each other. In fact, scientific materialism denies the existence of any psychic component in the known universe.

Despite the enormous distance between their disciplines, the two scientists established a collaboration that lasted more than twenty years. During that period they never stopped looking for a "unifying element", capable of reconciling, on a scientific level, the reasons of the psychic dimension with those of the material dimension.

Unfortunately, they did not achieve this in their lifetime, but they were prophets of a new scientific interpretation of the universe. In fact, the evolution of knowledge in the field of quantum physics, and above all the experimental confirmations of phenomena such as quantum entanglement, re-evaluate their theories. Today the idea of a universe that is not divided into "material objects" emerges strongly. The universe is not divided but consists of a single reality, made up of spirit and matter. This is the reality that Jung and Pauli called "Unus mundus". Matter and psyche have equal dignity and together contribute to the existence of the universe.

The editorial series "Cenacolo Jung Pauli" is a place of knowledge and study. We believe it is the most suitable environment to resume work from the point where Carl Jung and Wolfgang Pauli left off. We can affirm that, today, scientific topicality ennobles their research and projects them towards even more daring interpretations than they themselves had imagined.

Carl Gustav Jung (1865-1961) was a Swiss psychologist and psychotherapist, well known for his theories on the collective unconscious and synchronicity. Wolfgang Pauli (1900-1958) is one of the fathers of quantum physics. About Pauli we can say that in the year 1945 he received the Nobel Prize for his studies on a basic principle of quantum mechanics, known as the "Pauli exclusion principle".

Let's start with everyone's experience. The strange coincidences.

    Have I been here before?.

The strange coincidences are such common experiences that no one believes they can doubt. Carl Gustav Jung talks about it with an example:

By chance, I find that my tram ticket has the same ticket number as the theater I bought immediately after. If during the evening I receive a phone call in which anyone mentions me that same number, it seems unlikely to me that the relationship between these facts is accidental

There are also less striking coincidences, which however surprise us because within us they take on the meaning of an almost impossible connection.

Infinite examples can be cited. See mentally a friend in a difficult situation, and then find out that that person actually lived a negative episode. Many avoid behavior because they feel uncomfortable. For example, they don't get on public transport. They later find out that the vehicle was involved in an accident. Some dream of a forgotten friend because he lives in another city, and the next day they meet him on the street.

All of us are often witnesses or protagonists of similar facts. At the beginning we are a bit surprised, but then we decide that it is a case, and we store everything in some corner of our mind.

In reality, coincidence does not always equate to chance. This is demonstrated by the fact that some coincidences generate problems in our mind that remain unsolved for life.

However, these episodes resurface in the mind and stimulate our curiosity together with a vague sense of mystery. We have the feeling of an indication or a suggestion that we have not been able to grasp.

The well-known psychotherapist Carl Gustav Jung studied this phenomenon for a long time and elaborated many of the theories described later in this booklet. According to Jung, many coincidences are certainly random, but sometimes not. Jung hypothesized the existence of coincidences that could be considered significant or even numinous (covered with sacredness) and coined for them the name of synchronicity.

    Coincidences and synchronicity..

Behind every synchronicity there are whole unknown universes to explore

The significant coincidences can be of many types. For example, they can be based on dream, premonition, telepathy, or other. In any case, they bring the spirit or the psyche into play. We accept the hypothesis that the universe is not made only of matter, but of matter and spirit. Both shape our reality together. Under these conditions many phenomena, which would be inexplicable with the parameters of materialism, become understandable.

Jung was the first to study the phenomenon of strange coincidences with scientific methods. He provided the appropriate tools to understand when a coincidence can be considered significant, or numinous. When the conditions proposed by Jung come true, the coincidence becomes a synchronicity.

Of course it is necessary to distinguish between random coincidences and synchronicities. The former are part of everyday life and derive from the overlapping and intertwining of our activities with those of the world around us. The predominant feature of normal coincidences is that we consider them to be discounted and do not involve us or interest us much.

Synchronicities, on the other hand, open up a huge window on the panorama of mystery. Behind every synchronicity there are entire unknown universes to explore, and an immense wisdom to be able to access. Unfortunately, our eyes are not suitable for deciphering these landscapes. We do not know the language through which synchronicities try to communicate with us. There are problems of harmony between our mind and the Mind that sends us synchronicities.".

Carl Jung and the collective unconscious.

Psychology of the depth. The source of the collective unconscious.

In order to fully understand the concept of synchronicity we must go into Jung's theories. First we need to introduce the topic of the collective unconscious.

According to Jung, there is a level of consciousness placed outside our mind. This consciousness is not confined to our skull but is detached and independent of our physicality. It is a psychic level and therefore cannot be located anywhere. It is not a thing with length, width, height and weight. It cannot be taken from here and moved there.

the collective unconscious is, exists, in the same way that our soul or the age of a tree or the flow of the river water exists. No one can see or weigh the idea of the age of the tree or the flow of the river, but it is undeniable that they exist.

The collective unconscious is an absolutely psychic reality that contains the experiences of all human beings. The big advantage is that all human beings can draw on this deposit, as if they were extracting water from a well. All the experience of humanity is present in the collective unconscious in the form of archetypes. Today we would say that all information relating to the human race is archived in the form of files called archetypes.

Since all human beings can interact with the archetypes of the collective unconscious, it follows that we possess a great deal of knowledge. This knowledge goes beyond our experience.

At times the archetypes move from the collective unconscious and come to influence our consciousness. This generates episodes that are difficult to understand. They are synchronicities. We grasp the presence of a hidden meaning, but we do not understand its meaning precisely.

The meeting of Jung and Pauli.

Psychophysical diagram of Pauli and Jung. The world of Causality and Space-Time in balance with that of Psyche and Synchronicity.

In collaboration with Wolfgang Pauli Jung deepened the possibility that the concepts of Archetype and Synchronicity could be related to a reality that defined Unus mundus.

It is a reality from which everything emerges and to which everything returns. Probably coincides with the concept of Anima mundi, of Neoplatonic origin.

Philosophies and religions have always supported the concept of the Soul of the world. Today this concept is present, with different names, in Eastern philosophy. We can remember the Tao of Chinese culture, or the Ātman of Indian culture. But a similar concept is also present in Western religiosity. Let us remember God and the Holy Spirit. There are also many secular terms to refer to this reality: Universal Mind, Global Consciousness, Spirit of the World.

Speaking of the collective unconscious we refer, by strong analogies, to all and none of these religious or philosophical Entities ..

Naturally, Jung and Pauli have approached this subject in an absolutely secular way.

Pauli pursued the goal of restoring a soul to nature, which had been deprived of it by materialism.

Pauli, referring to psychology, matured some fundamental beliefs. For example, he firmly believed that scientific discoveries are favored and anticipated by archetypal images in the mind of the scientist.

For his part, in this collaboration, Jung became familiar with the studies of quantum physics. In this context the distinction between matter and energy is so subtle as to appear non-existent.

Jung places a non-material element, the psyche, on the materiality. According to Jung psyche and matter form a unique reality, not only psychic and not only material. This unique reality is called Unus Mundus.

The psychophysical diagram elaborated by Jung and Pauli (see figure) balances the psyche with space-time, that is, with the material part of the universe. Instead, on horizontal arms, the diagram balances determinism, or causality, with synchronicity.

What evidence do we have? Denialist materialism.

    Only matter. How sad!

The Wikipedia encyclopedia describes materialism as follows:

The materialisome is a philosophical position that identifies every aspect of reality with matter. Therefore, it excludes the presence and effectiveness of every higher moment of spiritual character.

If materialism is this, it is certainly a theory in stark contrast to the contents of this brochure. In fact, we believe most of the ideas denied by materialism.

One of the key principles of materialism is that the world is a machine. The materialistic world is a place where everything takes place according to deterministic principles.

This means that only one action can determine another action, and any action is based solely on the interactions that occur between material objects.

According to materialism, man is also a machine, and his actions are determined by the mechanical interactions between its component parts.

Let us summarize some points of the materialistic doctrine.

Man has a brain in which chemical reactions take place that determine his behavior. It is excluded that he has a conscience or a soul.

Thoughts, suggestions, tendencies towards the spiritual and the divine are only false images. These are mirages or epiphanies. Spiritual visions are waste products resulting from the brain's chemical reactions. Man exists only in his skull. The man who believes he is projecting himself outwards is simply a robot that deludes himself.

Therefore, man is only the aggregation, happened by chance, of some materials. A certain day a mixture of water, proteins, fats, minerals, carbohydrates, vitamins has come together and given rise to man. This happened by chance. If you look at yourself in the mirror and see your image, you think you are something more than this pile of substances, it is pure illusion.

You are just a series of jars on the shelf of a chemical laboratory. One day the case, shake these cans, he drew a little robot like you, who believes he thinks, loves and desires, but in fact he deludes himself.

Materialism has historically created an incurable rift between matter and psyche. Materialist science has established itself with a strong atheistic connotation in the last two centuries, and has occupied all the dominant positions of culture and society.

In fact, anyone who did not profess materialistic beliefs was excluded from any scientific career.

Under these conditions it was difficult for the theories advocated by Jung and Pauli to succeed in scientific circles.

The truth is that materialism is an old structure that creaks under the blows of new scientific evidence. Today there are eminent scientists, mostly quantum physicists, who are drawing a radically different image of the cosmos. It is a reality decidedly oriented in a spiritual sense".

Quantum physics and the Bohr-Einstein diatribe.

    God doesn't play dice. (Einstein)

There is a mystery in quantum physics, which caused Albert Einstein to lose sleep. He did not like at all some aspects of quantum theory, supported by Niels Bohr and the Copenhagen School founded by Bohr himself. Einstein did not understand why it was impossible to determine the position and speed of a particle at the same time. He stated that God does not play dice. With this, Einstein meant that every aspect of material reality must be known at all times. At all times it must be possible to know where an elementary particle is, and how fast it is moving.

Above all, Einstein disputed the real existence of a mysterious physical effect known by the English name of entanglement.

Let us consider a simplified version of the entanglement. Suppose we have a source that generates a couple of photones. (Photons are the elementary particles that make up light). The pair is separated and the two photons are moved to immense distances from each other.

The two photons are complementary. Simplifying we say that one turns to the right and the other one turns to the left.

Well, if we reverse the sense of rotation of one of the two photons, the other also simultaneously reverses the direction of rotation.

This happens even if the two photons have been moved to galactic distances.

So the change happens much faster than the speed of light. Furthermore, the change of rotation of the first photon produces an effect on the second photon in a mysterious way. No currently known energy acts between the two.

Einstein defined this experiment with the words phantasmatic action at a distance. These words have entered history to define the entanglement.

This contrasts with the materialist conception of the world, which is deterministic. According to determinism, every event must be caused by another. A billiard ball (B) begins to move only when another ball (A) hits it, not before or after. Furthermore, the movement of the B ball is closely related to the force of the blow.

In the quantum level things work differently. Ball B begins to move simultaneously with ball A, that is, before it is hit. In fact, this happens even if the ball A is on Earth and the ball B is on Jupiter (or the other end of the universe). So there is an unknown force that transmits energy and information. This force is not the force of gravity.

Einstein believed that the phenomenon of entanglement could only be achieved in the context of classical physics, ie in a deterministic way. According to Einstein the explanation was that the procedure was wrong. Consequently, the conclusions were also wrong.

Despite Einstein's convictions, the experiments carried out in the 1980s confirmed that the procedures are accurate. There is a reality completely disconnected from classical physics. There is an area of the universe that is not subject to the rules of materiality. It is the non-locality.

    Confirmation of the entanglement.

Everything is One. We too are One with the All"

The experimental tests obtained in 1982 by the French Alain Aspect confirmed the reality of the entanglement phenomenon. If Einstein had still been alive, he should have taken note of the evidence. Two particles, united by common birth, remain forever united with a bond that is not material, because it goes beyond space and time.

However a certain science pretends to ignore this shocking newness of physics.

The problem that haunts traditional science is that entanglement distorts all the laws of classical physics, also called Newtonian physics.

We consider some principles of classical physics:

    • The reality is causal and mechanistic: each action derives from a previous action and produces subsequent actions.

    • The speed of light limit cannot be exceeded (300,000 kilometers per second).

    • Each force (gravitational, magnetic, etc.) decreases as a function of distance.

    • The arrow of time establishes a rigid hierarchy in the evolution of every event. What happens first is always the cause of what happens next. No fact can be the cause of something that will happen next.

In the level of elementary particles none of these rules is valid. Two or more related particles (entangled) have very different characteristics. We summarize some of them:

    • The speed of light limit is no longer valid.

    • The principle that forces fade with distance is no longer valid.

    • Since there is no time difference between action and reaction, the arrow of time is no longer valid. The before and the after no longer exist.

    • For the same reason, causality no longer exists because action and reaction take place simultaneously.

But above all, how can a particle, located at an astronomical distance, know that the other is prepared to change? How can you know, to be able to change at the same time?

What form of knowledge exists between the two particles?

It is necessary to imagine a space that is not made of matter. A space that eliminates all the problems of time and distance. In fact we have to imagine a psychic space, not a material one.

Perhaps this is the same space that Plato called World of ideas and that Carl Jung later called Collective Unconscious?

It is a space called non-locality because it cannot be placed anywhere. Non-locality is everywhere. Pervades the whole universe. Every part of the universe is immersed in this level of energy and information. In conclusion, there is no division in the universe. Our senses show us a universe divided into different objects. In reality, at the subatomic level the universe is one,.

    Entanglement and collective unconscious.

    In unione con il Cosmo.

Quantum entanglement shows that there is a level of management of the universe higher than the laws of physical materialism.

It is something that transcends time, space and matter. But there is another extraordinary implication: if two separate particles continue to behave as if they were a single particle, then the whole universe is bound by a force that unites it and makes it one. In fact, the whole universe comes from a unique event, the big-bang. All the elementary particles of the universe are correlated.

From the non-local level, where there is neither space nor time, all the information of the universe flows towards our consciences in the form of archetypes.

Similarly, synchronicities flow from non-locality. The synchronicities generate all the curious coincidences of which we are protagonists, the presentiments, the windows open on the spaces of the spirit.

At this point we begin to believe that the perfection of creation is not the fruit of chance, but derives from a higher level.

This level goes beyond the concept of materiality, and implies the presence of an entity that directs the universe without time or space constraints.

Does a Tao exist, does a Spirit exist that governs the universe above the laws of matter?

Jung theorizes the existence of a collective unconscious, that is, a universal consciousness external to individuals. From the collective unconscious the archetypes flow into our consciousness. The archetypes are symbolic figures. In our consciousness, archetypes are transformed into warnings, advice, moods, premonitions, awareness.

It is probable that the unknown force that causes the entanglement and the collective unconscious theorized by Jung are the same thing. The psychology and quantum physics can collaborate.

Quantum physics is only at the beginning, but the materialistic conception supported by scientists of the last centuries begins to falter.

The millennium that is beginning will be the millennium that will find the unifying formula between science and spirit. Jung and Pauli's dream will come true.

    The observer determines the behavior.

Immagine che contiene testo Descrizione generata automaticamente

I look at you, you collapse. The role of the observer in quantum reality. The launch of a photon with two open slits..

One of the most surprising phenomena in the behavior of elementary particles, is what we can highlight through the double slit experiment.

If we throw a photon against a barrier with two slits, we assume that the photon passes through one or the other.

It is not so. The photon crosses them both. This is not a far-fetched statement. This phenomenon has been confirmed in hundreds, if not thousands of experiments, and is universally recognized by all science. This phenomenon is called superposition of states. Based on this phenomenon a photon can be in two places at the same time. The superposition of states is the basis of the phenomenon of entanglement.

In fact, a photon does not behave as if it were a particle, but as if it were a wave. The photon propagates like a circle of water on the surface of the pond.

The photon is not in a specific place, he is lost in the wave. He can also stay in two places at the same time.

If you think this is surprising, know that you haven't seen it all yet.

We admit that a particularly fussy scientist decides to go all the way to the issue. He places a control instrument behind one of the two slits, to check whether the photon passes through it or not.

Well, at this point the photon only passes through the slit monitored by the instrument. It is said that the photon collapses into a given state.

We could conclude that the photon is endowed with intelligence. He chooses to go through TWO cracks when you DO NOT observe it. Conversely, he passes through ONE slit when you observe it.

The most relevant consequence of the experiment is this: the observer can determine the behavior of the photon, and of any other elementary particle. He can do this simply by looking at it.

John Wheeler was an American physicist, a charismatic figure in the physics of the 1930s and 1940s; under his leadership, many famous physicists have formed including Richard Feynman. Wheeler believes that the role of the observer is the most important aspect of quantum physics. He proposes to replace the term observer with that of participant. Expresses this conviction in a famous quote:

The measurement changes the state of the electron. After a measurement, the universe is no longer the same. To describe what happened, we need to eliminate the old word observer and replace it with the new term participant. In a way, the universe is a participatory universe.

At the level of the elementary particles the will of the observer participates in the functioning of the matter, indeed, it can determine it.

For now this applies to elementary particles. Perhaps, through subsequent studies, we will discover that consciousness can also intervene on the aggregations of photons, on atoms, on molecules and on whole organisms. Perhaps, unknowingly, this is already happening.

    The Global Consciousness.

Project Global Consciousness." Early warning of the conscience of the world.

Several scientific experiments have found that negative events, before they occur, cause variations in the consciousness of individual human beings.

Perhaps, as a result of this, it would be useful to test the preventive disturbances of vast sections of the population. These tests could signal negative events affecting entire nations or continents, or the entire planet. In simpler words, it would be possible to predict negative events.

Someone has taken care to investigate this possibility in a scientific way, with research still in progress. The research takes place in a project created in the 1980s by professors Robert Jahn and Brenda Dunne at Princeton University.

This project was born when the various experiments let us imagine that a global collective consciousness could really exist. It is the project Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research.

The studies consisted of verifying the psychokinetic effects on small devices capable of generating random numbers. In technical terms these devices are called RNG (Random Number Generator).

The numbers can be odd or even. Consequently, as with a coin toss, after a reasonable number of throws the result becomes flat (50-50).

The scientists asked the volunteers involved in the experiment to try to influence the choice of numbers. Indeed, the volunteers managed to generate interesting variations compared to the 50/50 statistic.

Subsequently a surprising phenomenon occurred. Although no volunteer attempted to influence RNGi generators, the results were different from the 50/50 expected by the stastistica.

Scholars imagined the existence of a collective consciousness capable of influencing generators even in the absence of volunteers.

It is common ground that, within a certain radius, generators are also influenced by people who are not directly involved in the experiment. The consciences of individuals generate a force capable of influencing RNGs.

In the following years many other Institutes joined the Project, which took
