SPYING AND ROMANCING THE NIGHT

MI6 Officer Alexander Davies, Alex for short, had always loved the more glamourous side of spying and espionage and doing whatever it took to get the information the UK Government needed to do its business, so when he was given the opportunity to go to a black tie gallery opening filled with extremists, but admittedly hot men, he didn’t have an issue in going.

Alex stood in his dark blue bedroom with the cold lonely double bed perfectly made behind him, chests of drawers filled with false passports, money and more lined the edges of the room, and Alex’s favourite piece of furniture in the entire world rested right next to the large floor-to-ceiling window to his left. Alex really did love his dark brown wooden wardrobe filled with fine suits, clothes and shirts that might have been expensive but he really loved the cool, luxurious feeling of the expensive fabrics against his skin.

And on the top shelf of the wardrobe, Alex loved it that he had such a great range of aftershaves, some were poisonous to certain people and some weren’t, but for tonight Alex was just going to wear his favourite. A little brand he had picked up in Paris a few years ago and even though he couldn’t pronounce the name at all, he had always loved its sweet aroma of oranges, grapefruits and a subtle undertone of lemon running under it all.

That had definitely attracted a boy or two.

Alex stood in front of a large square mirror that an ex-boyfriend bought him before catching Alex in too many lies, and when the person that Alex had thought was the love of his life had found out what he did for a living, he flipped and stormed out and Alex thankfully never ever saw him again.
