About this ebook

Return to the sexy romances, riches and rivalries of the Black Hamptons jet-set.

CHAITRA

Everybody in my family is going off to pursue their dreams and destinies, while they leave me behind in Baltimore. Like I'm the damn clean-up lady, responsible for seeing after my family's construction business. I'm tired of it.
But not anymore.
In one unexpectedly delicious night, Solomon English just reopened my...
...worldview.
And I'll be damned if I let a window close on me again.

Ongoing series advisement: This is the prequel story to Taste You, Book 2 of Explore Men of the Hamptons series, part of an ongoing saga. While this can be read as a standalone, it is written to lead into its main series. Your reading experience may also be enhanced by getting to know these characters' family relationships and backstory in Flinging All Spring and See Through You.

Trigger warnings: Strong language, & sex

One Tasty Night - Lula White

    THE CLEAN-UP LADY

    CHAITRA

C haitra McClain. Okay. Sure. What else do you need? I ask, signing my name for the millionth time today.

I think that’ll be all, the operations manager, Chauncey says, looking over the project contracts and sliding each one inside his leather carrier.

I finally sit back in my chair, staring out the window from my office overlooking Baltimore. Thank God, I mutter. It’s late Thursday afternoon, and tomorrow I might call in sick, just to lay on the couch. Even if this is my mother’s company. Maybe precisely because this is my mother’s company. I simply don’t have any good nerves left for her to jump on.

But that doesn’t have to be all though, if you don’t want it to be. On the other side of my desk, Chauncey relaxes in his seat, throws his legs open so I can see the clear erection springing through in his khakis. He and I have had a few spins around the bedroom. Okay, and various hotels, his mama’s bathroom, the company jet, and when the two of us were the only souls left at night, in my office. I’ve got a little time after I leave the game tonight with the fellas.

Chauncey’s a street guy I’ve known since I was a teenager. One of my closest friends, he’s my ride or die. Not only do we always have one another’s backs, but I get the added bonus of him knowing how to realign my spine, and work out those kinks.

He’s a cool dude from right here around B’more, just like I’m a round-the-way B’more girl. But that might also be my issue with him. He can’t show me anything new, and I probably can’t show him anything either. We know the same folks, same restaurants, same parks and recreational areas, same gossip. We’ve been working in the same company together for years, and if my mother or I let him, he’ll probably die in this company because the benefits are good and he’s too complacent to look for anything else.

Still, he’s sitting right in front of me, and he is literally swinging his hard-on at me as he opens and closes his legs. He bites his pretty rose-colored bottom lip.

What do you need to think about, Shay? This is me sitting here, not one of those jokes from your Plenty of Fish fuck site, he cracks, staring straight at me.

I throw a paper clip across my desk at him. We’re supposed to be cooling it. That’s what we said. So we can start… checking into other prospects.

He shrugs from my leather guest seat on the other side of my desk. That ain’ what I said, that’s what you said. I just went along with it to be agreeable.

I sigh. Why is this so convenient? His tall ass looks to make sure nobody’s watching when he gets up, walks over to my office door and discreetly closes it. He closes the blinds.

You know people will notice that.

Good thing it’s not many of them left on a Friday and you’re the boss. He heads toward my desk, takes my hand, pulls me from my seat.

    I’m not the boss.

As I say it, he swings behind me and bumps me forward until both my hands land on top of my desk. He lays his hardware on my back, while leaning over me. His thick fingers gently pull my hair, but I know what he’s giving me a taste of. Leaning down, his voice enters my ear. You’re the boss of me.

I won’t sniff at it, especially since all my online dating accounts are looking pretty dry these days. Same faces and profiles, same come-ons, same lame ass conversation
