About this ebook
Tessa Chart, the Mapmaker, has long, beautiful red hair. So does Abilynn, High Princess of the Elves. When Wolfen, super-werewolves attack the Fairy Circles, the Blue Fairies turn to the Princess for help. But when they mistake the mapmaker for the princess who was raised by the Wolf King, Cormac Mac Art, it could spell doom for the Blue Fae. They risk ire of the Leprechaun Queen Fillian who rules over the green and blue wee folk alike. It will take a headlong dash across Ireland in Abilynn's Stutz Bearcat and a Rolling Royce (or something like that), with help from a Drow elf, an assassin-turned-spy, and the Wolf King himself, if they hope to turn the tide and send the Wolfen back where they belong. Then there is the ever-watchful eye of Fiona, the High Queen of the Magical Folk of Ireland and the Aerielands, the most powerful elf in the entire Nine Worlds, and Princess Abilynn's mother. What's a Princess to do?

I began writing fantasy in 2016, after my wife, Ellen, was diagnosed with cancer. It really took off a year later when she was declared in full remission and was able to start helping me. When I was a park ranger and, before that, a paramedic, I used to write articles about my areas of expertise. Now, I am writing the tales that have played in my imagination for over 60 years. My stories are epic fantasy with a Biblical world-view, and we test everything by how our teenaged granddaughters would react to it. I hope you enjoy the adventures and will join us on the journeys with Connor, Iolena, Menta Kai, and Fiona!

M ama, can I borrow the car?
It was a question that thousands of young adults have asked their parents in the century and a half since automobiles were invented. But this time, the young woman asking the question was a redheaded half-elf whose age was somewhere between twenty-three and four hundred and fifty years old, depending on whose calendar you used. The car in question happened to be a 1916 Stutz Bearcat roadster that her mother, High Queen Fiona Bridget Yaleria-Brice had brought back to the Aerielands from Ireland where it had been stored by her half-brother, Ian McDonagh, before his death.
Fiona looked up at her daughter, Abilynn Enya, who stood with her younger sister, High Princess Lona, and another redheaded young woman, the Eldarian cartographer Tessa Chart, at the door to Fiona’s study. I suppose, Abilynn,
the Queen answered. Where are the three of you going with the Bearcat?
Lona and I would like to take Tessa to Dublin, circa 1925 or so,
Princess Abilynn replied. We would like to go to the library at Trinity College and show her the Book of Kells, then take her for dinner at John Kavanagh’s, if that’s okay?
If it were just us, Amil,
Lona added, we would fly from Slane to Dublin.
Both Lona and Abilynn were shapeshifters, as was Fiona and her best forever friend Alistronia Skystormer-Bree, sitting on the other side of the room. But Tessa can’t do that.
She paused. Yet.
Lona!
Tessa blushed. Other than her magical mapmaking skills, Tessa was a newcomer to the entire realm of Deep Magic and
