WINTER BREAK
December 20 School
The school bell rang, and it was officially winter break in South Florida. Eight-year-old Trudy Tuckell walked over to her bicycle. She waved goodbye to her friends. She showed her Christmas spirit. She was in full decor. She wore her new red dress and had reindeer antlers on her head.
It was obvious she loved the holidays and Christmas was her favorite. Yet this year was different.
Trudy biked to her favorite long pier in Manateeville Key. Her favorite thing was to give someone the most awesome Christmas present. She loved planning and wrapping it. Then she loved seeing the smile on their face when they opened it up. Whoever invented the secret Santa exchange was absolute genius!
