About this ebook
Have you ever met someone that you had an instant connection with? A feeling like you have known them before. This is a story of that type of connection. I met Amber when I moved across the streeet from her. As I got to know her, I learned some things about myself. Matters that were not easy to share with or be accepted by others. My goal in writing this book is to help anyone that is going through the loss of a loved one or has lost someone. This is not must my own personal journey through grief, but a message of hope and love, and a love that survived beyond death.
Where are you on your journey? Are you in the midst of transtioning a life stage with a loved one? Maybe you are cycling through the emotions of grief or grappling to sort out the aftermath of losing a precious life.
This book is a memoir and personal reflection of the beginning, middle, and end of a soulful connection which brought about valuable lessons on love, life, grief, and letting go.

PROLOGUE
þÿIt took me nine years from the time Amber died to be able to write this book. Moving through all that I had experienced in meeting her, loving her, and losing her has proved to be an amazing journey. It was a voyage of honestly allowing myself to be vulnerable, and to love someone so deeply that I was totally devastated when I lost her. This encounter taught me not only about love and grief, but about life. Eventually, our time together empowered me to step into my truth and be myself regardless of what others expected of me.
Amber was a ray of sunshine, someone who genuinely emitted love and compassion for others. I feel truly grateful for being a small part of her life and being loved by her. She has taught me so much during the time she was alive and afterwards.
The Beginning Of Our Life Together
þÿA picture containing wall, person, indoor Description automatically generatedShe was only 32, a girl full of laughter and life. She had a passion for life and lived it fiercely. Her name was Amber, and she changed my life. I was always a believer that people come into our life for a reason, some only for a season and others who stay a lifetime. I had no idea one person could turn my world upside down and leave such a lasting impression.
I was living in an apartment that I did not like. The apartment was on the third floor of an older building and had three flights of cracked, brick steps to go up. The carpet was old and it didn’t matter how much you had it cleaned, it still smelled musty. I
