I once was a survivor but am not one anymore
For God not only had healed me, he made me so much more
I had no idea in tomorrow what was to lie in store
God turned this once survivor into an awesome warrior

This Tear Falls

This tear falls for all of the fallen solders
This tear falls for all the ones who grieve
Mothers, Fathers, Sons and Daughters
All the blood they shed reminds us
That our freedom was far from free

I have been sitting here struggling to find words powerful enough to fully express the ways in which your presence affected everyone’s lives that you touched. You were both so alike and different in so many ways. You are the most amazing inspirational, humble, faithful, stern yet abundantly loving people I have ever known. I am so blessed to be able to call you Mommy and Daddy and my best friends. I miss you every day. They say over time it gets easier... they lied. I’ll miss you everyday until we meet again.
