Introduction
Hello everyone! I’m Michael Chernow, and this is Own Your Morning, Own Your Life: The Power of Routine," a course from Scribd. Thank you for joining me.
Let’s begin with a question: What does every morning have in common? Answer: It starts with the opportunity to make a decision — to take action toward your goals or to take the easy way out. To invest in yourself or to let the day pass you. The choice of what to do with your morning is up to you.
As an entrepreneur, I know that the only person I can rely on at the end of the day is myself. And I’ve experienced just how much you can do under your own power.
I first experienced that kind of success when, after I graduated from the French Culinary Institute, I opened my restaurant, the Meatball Shop, in New York City. It quickly grew to eight different locations, and I was eventually able to create my very own cookbook. I now manage four companies, each with multiple locations.
None of this would have been possible without the structure of a morning routine.
