What our readers think

Readers find this title amazing. The English rhyme, though initially unsure, became a flow that couldn't be imagined otherwise. It deeply spoke to the soul of an American Shakta. The book is special and wonderful, appreciated by the reader who finished it in about an hour and a half. They are eager to explore the author's other works. Jai Mata di.

    This was AMAZING! At first, I wasn't so sure about the English rhyme, but as I started to flow with it, I couldn't imagine anything else. As an American Shakta, this work spoke deeply to my soul. I so appreciate the author, and I can't wait to get into his other works! This was a very special book, I read it in about an hour and a half. Just wonderful! Thank you! Jai Mata di! ??

(Chapters 31 to 41) On Tantric philosophy & Concepts

1. Birth of Parvati

Janamejaya said:

O Muni! You said Highest Light born be,

On the top of the Himalayas" previously,

1

Now do describe to me in detail clearly,

About this Highest light comprehensively.

2

Can wise desist hearing of nectar Shakti?

Death may to Devas sipping her nectars be,

3

But no danger to those can but be possibly,

Who drink nectar of glorious deeds of Devi.

4

Vyasa said:

"King! You are blessed; you attained surely,

What you are to attain in this life actually;

5

You but taught by the high-souled men be,

Fortunate as you are devoted to the Devi.

6

When the Deva of Devas, Maheshwar be,

Resting, wandering in world, distracted be,

7

Carrying Sati's body that burnt by fire be,

He time in sense controlled, is in Samadhi;

8

Forgetting the Samsara knowledge totally,

Meditating on Devi, objects, worlds three,

9

Moving, unmoving, with their oceans clearly,

Mountains, islands void of power, prosperity.

10

Hearts of all the embodied beings dried be,

Without joy, anxious yet indifferent but be,

11

Merged in ocean of sorrows, diseased be,

Planets retreated, Devas in reverse state be;

12

Kings attacked with ills and misfortunes be,

From material causes, divine intrusion truly.

13

At this time a great Asura, Taraka actually,

Became unbeatable per Brahma’s boon truly,

14

Power intoxicated conquered the worlds three,

Became the sovereign ruler unquestionably.

15

Brahma Prajapati, gave him boon affectively,

That legitimate Shiv’s son could kill him only,

16

As then Shiv without son, Asura elated be,

Became infatuated and carried off all victories.

17

Devas banished after his oppression clearly,

They wanting a son of Shiv very anxiously,

18

"Shankar had no wife; how can His son be?

We unfortunate; how our work can done be?

19

Oppressed, Devas went to Vaikunta finally,

Informed Vishnu what happened, in privacy,

20

Then Lord Vishnu told how this achieved be,

And that they should not be lost in anxiety.

21

"Devas! Why are you all so anxious clearly,

When Auspicious Goddess of Universe truly,

22

The Dweller in the Mani Dvipa undoubtedly,

Yielder of desires, ever wakeful for you be.

23

Just due to your faults She indifferent be,

To teach us not for the ruin but Her mercy.

24

When mother nourishes chiding son be,

It is not that she but merciless does be;

25

So, World Mother, Universe Controller truly,

Not merciless regarding quality, defects be.

26

Son commits offence at every step surely,

Who bears in three worlds – mother only!

27

So, take refuge in Highest Mother humbly,

In the Universe Goddess with all sincerity,

28

Ever lost in Her, your heart filled devotedly,

She will act and help your cause certainly.

29

So stating Vishnu with His consort Lakshmi,

With other Devas went to worship the Devi;

30

Going to Himalayas, they soon engaged be,

Praying and repeating the names of the Deity.

31

Who versed with sacrifice to Mother truly,

Began holding vows, sacrificial ceremonies,

32

Some in incessantly meditating on the Devi,

Others repeating Her names and Sukta Devi.

33

Some repeating her mantras, doing vrats be,

Some in penance, doing inner sacrifices truly;

34

Some in Pranagnihotra Yagas, in Nyasadi be,

Some began to worship the Highest Shakti.

35

She the Goddess of the Universe does be,

Without sleep, rest - by Maya seed mantra be.

36

Thus many years of the Devas passed clearly,

On ninth Tithi came in Chaitra on Friday only,

37

Highest Light of the Supreme Force suddenly,

Appeared in front of them clearly and glowingly:

38

That Light equal to the Koti lightnings red be,

Cool as Koti Moons, glowing as Koti Suns be.

39

The Vedas personified, chanting round Her be.

Fire above, below, in the middle and around be;

40

Never obstructed, without beginning, end be,

As female with hands, feet and all limbs fully.

41

The appearance not that of male nor else be,

The Devas, dazzled, closed their eyes initially,

42

Next instance, opening their eyes patiently,

Saw Highest Light as Divine Woman of beauty.

43

Her youth blooming and her rising breasts be,

Prominent with lotus bud, added to the beauty;

44

Bracelets on hands; armlets on four arms be;

With the garland of gems, jewels glowing be.

45

Ornaments around Her waist which tinkling be,

And beautiful anklets were on Her feet lovely.

46

Her hair flowing between Her ears beautifully,

Cheeks bright as bees on the Ketaki flower be.

47

Her loins nicely shaped and exquisitely lovely,

The hairs on Her navel gave additional beauty.

48

Her exquisitely lively lotus mouth rendered be,

More lustrous by golden ear-ornaments truly,

49

On Her forehead there half crescent moon be;

Her eye-brows extended; eyes as red lotus be;

50

Her nose was elevated, Her lips very sweet be.

Her teeth as opening buds of Kunda flowers be,

51

From Her neck suspended a pearls necklace be;

On Her head a crown with diamonds, jewels be;

52

On Her ears her earrings as Moon lines but be,

Her hairs adorned with Mallika, Malati flowers be;

53

Her forehead with Kasmira Kunkuma drops be,

Her three eyes giving lustre to Her face uniquely.

54

On one hand a noose, on other hand a goad be,

Other two hands granting boons, ousting fear be,

55

Her body shed lustre as flowers of a Darima tree,

Her wearing a red cloth - All this adds to beauty.

56

Thus Devas saw the Mother Goddess clearly,

The Incarnate of not pretended divine mercy,
