1. Veganizing
Veganism is a way of life that avoids all products of animal origin. This includes foods such as meat, milk and eggs, as well as other products such as leather, wool and cosmetics. In terms of nutrition, this means that vegan people abstain from all animal products in their diet.
A vegan diet can be very healthy as it is usually rich in fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds. These foods contain important nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and fiber that are necessary for a balanced diet. A vegan diet can also help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers and type 2 diabetes.
However, a vegan diet may also be deficient in nutrients, particularly vitamin B12, iron, zinc and iodine. These nutrients are found in animal foods and are more difficult to absorb on a plant-based diet. It is therefore important that vegan individuals ensure that they are taking in enough of these nutrients, either through specific supplements or by choosing specific foods that contain these nutrients.
