About this ebook

This book is a short guide to use when trying to understand how to love and respect one another in marriage. It's true that the men are the head of the household, but he must learn how to rule as king over his wife the way God intended, which is with tenderness, admiration, and passion.

There are so many references where God teaches men and women how to tend to their wives and husbands utilizing love and respect. It's been said that a woman shows how much she loves her husband by how much she respects him. A man shows how much he respects his wife by how much he loves her.

    Dedicated to God

God’s Guide to Understanding Marriage in Its True Beauty

    Introduction

God has used me as His vessel in writing this book to aid and minister to those whom He blessed to be in a union of marriage. The oneness of this heavenly union is to administer and share His love He created in you to give to one another. Amen.

    Chapter 1

    Lead with Love

(How to Reign in God’s Love over Your Wife Whom God Gave You as a Gift)

God says in many scriptures that you must honor, respect, compliment, nurture, and value your wife. Acknowledge her in all she does for you and, most of all, show some understanding toward her emotions. In 1 Peter 3:7 (NLT), it says, In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered. First Peter 3:7 (KJV) reads, Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

And to those who are married with children, Proverbs 31:28 (KJV) says, Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. In Proverbs 31:28 (NLT), it says, Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her. God clearly announced in Ephesians, chapter 5 verses 28–30, how to love your wife as He loves His Church. Also, read Ecclesiastes 9:9–12. Verse 9–12 instruct you to live joyfully with your wife, whom God has given unto you under the sun, because you don’t know the expiration of your life span, nor is there any wisdom or knowledge in the grave where we all must go in due time, for the race is not given to the swift, strong, wise, nor skillful but to the one who can endure.
