A Killer Secret

About this ebook
This book is a drama/thriller that is based on true events. Like many relationships, an innocent woman falls hard for a man she barely knows and ends up losing just about everything. Thankfully, she finally opens her eyes long enough to see what he is doing and is able to save herself from even more trauma and abuse.
My hopes in writing this book were to let people know that they are not alone, and if they were a victim of emotional abuse or any other kind of abuse, to say something. It is not something to be ashamed of, and most importantly, they did not do anything to deserve the torture that they went through.

Killer Secret
Chapter 1
Inside the Mind of a Killer
Aquestion that has baffled science for centuries—what exactly makes a killer? Is it all about instability in a person’s life, like Jeffrey Dahmer, who started dismembering his victims at a mere eighteen years old? Are killers the result of a single-parented household like Ted Bundy, who was raised by his teenage mother? Or maybe killers just enjoy the merciless killing, like Jack the Ripper, who inevitably killed over a hundred people?
Whatever the reason, or lack thereof, it is obvious that killers have a disconnection in their brains that make them see the world differently—empty, meaningless, and simply something that can be completely destroyed without a second thought.
Maybe Mommy never hugged them and said she loved them, or their alcoholic family abused them in every way possible. Although horrible, this is not a reason to take another person’s life; and yet in a killer’s mind, this is more than enough of a reason.
Going a little deeper down the rabbit hole, maybe these psychos do what they do just for the thrill of it, or maybe even get some sort of sexual pleasure from overpowering another human being. As for me, I say, just go ride a roller coaster or go skydiving—something that doesn’t permanently affect someone else’s life in a negative way! Only if it were that easy for some people, the world would be a much better place.
Alas, some people need to know they are inflicting the deepest, most brutal kind of pain imaginable on others to feel anything. It could be anything from a defenseless animal to a baby, any minor child, or even a spouse. Sadly, it is the ones we love the most do that do the most damage. Not always physically but mentally and emotionally as well.
Even crazier, some people like me try to understand this deranged maniac of a being when in reality, there is no answer, no solution, and most of the time, no hope. There are truly good people in this world; they may be cranky at times because they had a bad day or had something unexpected happen in their life, but generally, most people are good. Most, but not all, there are those select few who simply don’t want to be good, and their sole purpose is to create havoc and disruption on earth and in a person’s life.
Most killers have some sort of motive, whether it be for love, money, jealousy, fame, or just to feel like they have power over something for once in their lives. I’m not going to sit here and preach to you how murder is wrong and you shouldn’t do it because, well, that is just obvious. My objective is one that is a little more complex—to try and put some sort of meaning to why people do the things they do.
I know that previously I said there was no understanding, and sometimes there isn’t, but if there is even the slightest bit of comfort I can provide someone in understanding such an evil in this world, then it is worth it. If discussing this issue and making people aware of these monsters can help them recognize these actions before tragedy strikes and help them stay clear of that person from the very beginning, then I have done my civic duty.
Most people when they hear the word killer just think of the literal meaning of
