    Chapter 1

    What Food Truly Is

    I feel compelled to write this book, explaining why we all need to correct our eating habits, thereby correcting our food supply. After all, we are what we eat. Did you know that every seven years, every cell in our bodies is replaced? This means that what we are eating definitely contributes as to our bodies' health, wellness, and how we feel, how we age, and if our body works properly.

    The Word tells us what we are to eat. He has given us every herb-bearing seed and every tree-bearing fruit. The seed is supposed to be our main source of food. My people perish for lack of knowledge. The laws in the Garden of Eden were for the plants we were to eat. In Leviticus¹, the animals that were to be eaten were specific, and the animals that chewed the cud and had a divided hoof were the recommended food for the people of God. Following these recommendations would be wise for all the humans on Earth. After all, these came from God the Father, the actual Creator of humans. Who would know more, than him, what would be beneficial for us to eat.

    Our bodies need food, real food, and this book will help you distinguish what true food is, and what are the look-alikes that are instrumental in causing diseases in our bodies. The ultra-processing of our food supply has led us to very many diseases.

    My food turnaround story starts in 2003, when my youngest daughter returned from New York. We were eating salad, and she said to turn over that salad dressing bottle and read the ingredient list. I could not read a single ingredient. I took the bottle to the computer and listed the ingredients into the computer, which told me all I was eating were chemicals that resembled salad dressing, enhancements such as MSG², and bad oils that had been modified. I was disgusted that I had been tricked into thinking that this was good food. So began my journey. Up until this time, I had been using coupons and rebates to keep the food budget down to a minimum. But after reading and learning what was in most of our food, I began to clean up our eating habits and spending habits which is what has changed our food in the past twenty years.
