About this ebook

Faith is as real as heat or gravity. We are all born with it. We all use it, especially when we are not conscious of it. It becomes a problem when we make a conscious effort to use it. Most people try to get hold of it from a religious base. This is also a problem because most of the religious teachings or definitions make it seem like it is something that is abstract, not tangible. A lot of work has been done in Christian circles to help people deal with this very important principle of life. But it has never been enough. This small book is meant to simplify your understanding of "faith" so as to make it easier and more ready to use. One does not have to be religious to practice faith. If heat is real, one does not have to be a scientist to appreciate it. So also is faith and religion. Put religion aside and read this book with an open mind and see how it will make you feel.

    Introduction

Do you have faith? What kind of faith do you have? Do you have a testimony of your faith? When was the last time you saw your faith in action? Do you have any desires about your own life? Have you ever been disappointed about anything you consider important to your life? Most importantly, how long have you been waiting to accomplish an important goal or desire of your life? Do you know that there is a part of our being that enables us to accomplish things, especially the things and conditions we desire?

There are people who never get anything done. They never accomplish or finish any project. Meanwhile, these are people who have lots of lofty ideas. Once an idea pops into their brain, they set out to tackle it, but before they get about halfway or they go past the half mark, they lose their enthusiasm, and all their energy gets dissipated. They no longer think the idea is worth any effort, and they give it up. This is how they live their life over many years, yet some of them can be counted among the best religious men and women.

In the following story, a group of church members were invited to attend a seminar on how to start and grow any kind of business. Among those people was a man called Jack who had attended that seminar many times in the past. Even though he had participated in the seminar many times, he had never been able to do what was taught in that class: create his own business.

When Jack went home that evening, he was going through the day’s classwork when he suddenly realized that this was a class that he had done many times already. So he asked himself, If I haven’t been able to do anything with all those previous classes, what is my guarantee that I will be able to use the teaching this time? This question brought him a whole new awakening, and so he decided to quit the class and not go there anymore. From that day, Jack kept asking himself why he had not been able to create his own business with all the knowledge he had acquired.

Jack’s situation is not just peculiar to Jack but similar to that of many who do not seem to get their life
