Don't Live Life on the Fence! - Bethany Shiver

    Day One

    God Is Real!

Let me say that again—God is real . It’s not a made-up story. It’s not something to put off until later. It’s not something you can deal with when you’re dying. God is real. I can’t promise you that life will be magically perfect when you serve God and choose to follow Him, but I can promise you He gives you strength and peace to endure until the end. He is the answer! Whatever the question, whatever you’re facing— He is the answer .

    Depressed?

    Tired?

    Worried?

    Stressed?

    Anxious?

    Sad?

    Alone?

    Nervous?

    Angry?

    Addicted?

    Scared?

    One answer: Jesus.

I don’t know your struggle. I don’t know what’s on your mind, but He does. You’ve tried everything else, but nothing is filling your life; nothing is helping. Try God. It’s the only decision that matters. For as surely as I am typing this right now, Jesus is coming back! When will that be? Which day do I need to be ready? No one knows but God.

The Bible tells us He will come, and God does not lie. Ask yourself, If I died right now, would I go to heaven? If your answer is no, then I urge you to reach out to Him. If you don’t see an end in sight, His arms are open, and He’s ready to engulf you in His loving presence and give you the strength to endure until the end. He’s knocking; all you gotta do is open the door.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14 KJV)

The devil has been relentless lately. Rest in the fact that, no matter what else he throws at you, Jesus still wins! Today, let His unwavering peace calm you.

God, I praise You for your overflowing amounts of grace!

    Day Two

    God Loves You

    Asimple yet complex sentence.

    God.

You wanna turn some heads? Say that name in front of anybody. This three-letter word requires attention. Even if you’re not a believer, you turn and listen when that name is mentioned. Why is that? Why does He have such authority? Why are we drawn to Him?

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27 ESV)

And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. (John 4:16 HCSB)

Though the mountains move and the hills shake, my love will not be removed from you and my covenant of peace will not be shaken, says your compassionate Lord. (Isaiah 54:10 HCSB)

But, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. (Matthew 10:30 ESV)

Can you imagine trying to count every strand of hair on your head? God knows everything about us, down to every strand of hair we have. Every single thing we have ever thought or said, He knows. Yet He still loves us! He still wants us! Can you imagine someone loving you so much despite all the bad you have said and ever thought of against them? To know every detail of you and still call you friend. When Judas betrayed Jesus and Jesus knew he betrayed Him, He still called him friend (Matthew 26:49–50). That blows my mind. We are all like Judas, yet He still draws us closer and offers us mercy. What did we do to deserve it? Nothing, nothing at all. Yet He offers it freely. Why? Because, He loves you.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and proved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself, as My own]; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5 Amplified)

One of my favorite scriptures. The idea that,
