About this ebook

There are many trials we face as we go through our time here on earth and the Bible is God's letter to us of how we are never alone. As we read of others who have gone before us with similar situations, and by God's grace, we are triumphant in conquering challenges. In scripture gives answers you will see how the unchangeable word of God has power to move mountains in our life, as well as bring comfort and strength in time of need. Life is not easy by any means and our creator never expected us to suffer without an answer as to why we go through what we do. We see the loving kindness of God when we seek Him and search the scriptures for answers as only He can give! "God is ever calling His people to turn to Him from the wide path that leads to destruction which many find, and walk the narrow path that although is most unpopular is the only way that leads us to our eternal home. May this book inspire the reader to search the holy word of God and see that the Bible really does have answers waiting to be discovered, and to bring them on a closer walk with their creator" (Jeremiah 29:11-13). precioussheepofrenown.com iamnotashamedofthegospelofchrist.com

    Preface

This book is dedicated to the Holy Spirit that was promised to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is written for all who ask for the wisdom of God, to not waver or doubt as it shall be given them.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed (James 1:5, 6).

    Chapter 1

    Prayer

Prayer can and does move the mountains in our life by the faith we hold in the Lord Jesus Christ! It is doubt and sin that gets in the way of us missing our prayers to happen, but praise God for the repentance offered to us we can turn things around by being obedient and faithful to the word of God (Mark 11:22–26).

    Prayer Can Cross Distance

To those who carry a great faith and know the power of prayer, sometimes it’s hard to explain to others when you say I will pray and they do not believe it helps . . . Also this article is firm confirmation that prayer truly does carry across a distance!

    The Centurion’s Faith

And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, and saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

And Jesus sayeth unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: BUT SPEAK THE WORD ONLY, AND MY SERVANT SHALL BE HEALED.

For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so GREAT FAITH, no not in Israel (Matthew 8:5–10).

    A Certain Nobleman’s Son

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

Then said Jesus unto him, except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere (before): my child die. Jesus sayeth unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man BELIEVED THE WORD THAT JESUS HAD SPOKEN unto him, and he went his way.

And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend, And they said unto him, YESTERDAY AT THE SEVENTH HOUR THE FEVER LEFT HIM.

So the father KNEW IT WAS THE SAME HOUR, in the which Jesus said unto him, thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judea into Galilee (John 4:46–54).

It is these two passages that confirm the presence of the Lord can travel over distance to bring healing to our Loved ones! Another reason we are told to pray for one another!

And the PRAYER OF FAITH shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:15, 16).

    Prayers and Tears

Oh, how bewildered the Prophet Jeremiah was over seeing how the people would rather live in sin and destruction of each other than serve the way of God. The time of salvation had even come and gone and yet the people remained unsaved that upset Jeremiah so. The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me. Is there no balm in Gil’-e-ad; is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered? OH that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! (Jeremiah 8:20–22, 9:1).

There is not one tear that goes unnoticed by God the Father who watches over us! In fact, he keeps them in a bottle and writes them in his book. But the day will come when all tears will be wiped away along with all pain. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:3, 4). Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? (Psalm 56:8).

For the woman who is a widow and trusts completely in God she is day and night in prayer of service to the one who now keeps her. To continue on though after the loss of one’s husband and lives without regard for God and takes pleasure with another who is not in the Lord is dead while she lives. Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth (1 Timothy 5:5, 6). The younger widows are accepted if they choose to marry than to stay unmarried and live in sin. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully (1 Timothy 5:14).

What a blessed hope we have awaiting us in heaven a place where all tears will never fall again! For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (Revelation 7:17).

    The Fervent Prayer

When we’re in a situation where someone is in front of us not displaying what is good and right, it is up to us to be the example of Christ, which at times is easier said than done. Yet it is our calling to be the difference. Through prayer we have patience and at times if it is God’s will we will see change in others. We must stay the course for Christ’s sake (1 Thessalonians 5:14–24). Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything, give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all
