Revelation: 31 verses Each of the 1,401 powerful verses has either a question that pricks the conscience of the reader, excites him or her, and provokes in the reader the urge to review one's relationship with God. Interacting with some of the posers contained in this work will definitely lead to a sober reflection of the reader, as well as strengthen one's abiding faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. In addition to the questions, there are some explanations on some of the deep sayings of the Holy Book which most readers tend to misconstrue. Above all, this work will induce readers, particularly Christians, to take ownership in godly pursuits and to domesticate their relationship with God as against the lukewarm attitude of most Christians who treat God as an abstract being. This work is about the desire to draw near the God in us and to personalize our relationship with him. The work concludes with an afterword, which is a candid advice from the heart of the author to all readers.

A Sincere Advice from the Heart

    About the Author

To God Almighty and to all true Christians everywhere in the universe.

    Preface

The work on My Holy Bible Extracts of 1,401 Powerful Verses started fifteen years ago under the inspiration of God Almighty. This was precisely in 2004 while I was convalescing from an ankle injury occasioned by an auto crash. Between then and now, I have read the holy Bible, the King James Version for a total of nine times without missing a day. When I say nine times, I mean complete reading of the Word of God every day without missing any day from the preface of the Holy Bible to the last word, Amen, in the book of Revelation. The period which it took me to complete each straight reading varied, but the fastest I did was four months and twenty-one days from November 9, 2012 to March 28, 2013. The longest time it took me to complete a reading was four years and twenty-eight days, from September 21, 2014 to January 14, 2019. Do not bother yourself with why this is so because as my moods varied, so also the requirement of my office dictated.

The chronological order within the time frame it took to complete the straight readings of the Holy Bible is set at a glance below:

    First straight daily reading: January 2, 2004–December 22, 2006

    Second straight daily reading: December 23, 2006–August 4, 2007

    Third straight daily reading: August 5, 2007–May 2, 2009

    Fourth straight daily reading: May 3, 2009–December 31, 2010

    Fifth straight daily reading: January 1, 2011–November 18, 2011

    Sixth straight daily reading: November 19, 2011–November 9, 2012

    Seventh straight daily reading: November 10, 2012–March 28, 2013

    Eight straight daily reading: March 29, 2013–September 21, 2014

    Ninth straight daily reading: September 22, 2014–January 14, 2019

The work of compiling the manual manuscript of the extracts prior to computer-type setting took between January 2019 to March 25, 2019. The final editing was completed on November 25, 2019. This work is meant for every God-fearing men and women, adults, and children. I mean those who truly love the Lord, God Almighty, and are desirous of knowing His Word toward a better relationship and understanding of Him. Most importantly is the need for Christians all over the world to be able to use the powerful Bible verses to do the wonderful works of God. The Holy Bible is analogous to the ocean while the 1,401 powerful verses are the compass and GPS needed to navigate the ocean for safe passage to the destination. The powerful verses are particularly meant for Christians who would soon discover the power in the Word of God when put to proper use as they confront the challenges of life in general, Christianity, and heavenly race in particular. The powerful verses which have been very carefully selected would help to unravel the Christ in you, as you put God to test by challenging Him to uphold His Word indeed as in words. It is meant not to make you a better Christian but a true Christian in word and in deed.

Many Christian believers will discover their specific gifts and talents after just six months of engaging with these powerful verses. Many will discover their gift of prophecy and would soon become powerful prophets and prophetess, powerful preachers of the Word of God, and many others, renowned evangelists. Many more would see visions and dream—dreams like Joseph while several others will discover their gifts of healing and other talents embedded in them as it pleases the Holy Ghost to bestow on them.

A word of caution to all users of this work. It is not a substitute to the Holy Bible and never intended to be one. It is going to become a very potent earthshaking revelation because it is the Word of God. The moving Spirit of God through His Word will do mighty miracles with all those who would avail themselves the opportunity of putting to practical test this wonderful work. Also, all those willing to put the Word of God into use in the service of God, and humanity shall be bountifully blessed. It is intended to induce you, the reader, to making constant references to the Holy Bible. As for the challenges we face in life, you will soon discover that these powerful extracts from the Holy Bible would become a potent weapon for solving the problems you encounter, provided you apply them properly. There is no magic in using this piece of work but rather, the wonderful work of God shall be made more manifest as you put this work to use to the glory of God Almighty.

Also, in this work, there are posers in the form of self-searching but provocative questions which are meant to put you in front of the mirror for a self-assessment test. Be sure you answer those questions sincerely whenever you come across them. Do not gloss over them. In some instances, there are comments. You must convince yourself and be convinced that your answers to the posers are honest, sincere, and truthful. These are the primers and motivators with multiplier effects that induces you into the spiritual realm wherein your spiritual self-development and understanding would be enlightened.

It is intended that this work would be widely published in all languages spoken in the world. This is to make it possible for all peoples, particularly Christians everywhere in the world to leverage on the potency of the Word of God to free themselves from bondage and move on to perform their earthly and heavenly bound duty to humanity and to God Almighty. Read, understand, and apply the Word of God compressed into this one thousand four hundred and one (1,401) powerful extracts designed to help you realize your fullest potentials and actualize your God-given abilities as a Christian. Do not forget to give your testimonies when the miracle of God begins to manifest in your life through His power in His work. It is a very unique work in the sense that all the books of the Holy Bible were covered. No biblical book is lost. The blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ shall rain and reign mightily in your life as you deploy this arsenal to fulfill the work of God to His glory. Amen.

    Acknowledgments

I acknowledge God Almighty, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost which gave me the strength and divine inspiration that nurtured and sustained me to put together this work after fifteen years of being in the mill. All glory and honour be unto Him alone. And to my lovely angel of a wife, Mrs. Caroline Akudinigbe Ijioma, who it pleased the Lord God Almighty to bless me with, for I am not worthy of her. I remain forever indebted. I understand and know that it was out of your inconvenience that this project came to reality. I cannot thank you enough. God bless you, my crown from God.

    The Old Testament

    Genesis

And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light (1:3). Is there light of God in your life? Is it shining to the benefit of other people?

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness (1:4). Are you light or darkness? What does God see when He looks at you?

And Adam said, ‘This is the bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man’ (2:23). What do you say about your wife? Is she truly the bone of your bones and flesh of your flesh? Until she becomes that which is what God made her to be, there will be no breakthrough in your life.

Therefore, shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh (2:24). Who have you cleft unto?

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken: for dust thou art, and into dust shalt thou return (3:19). What are you? Are you still filled with pride due to your possessions? Is your wealth valued above you who is just a mere dust? Think about it.

"And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the

    lord

had respect unto Abel and to his offering" (4:4). What do you offer to God as your firstlings? The best or the worst? Do you want the

    lord

    to respect you?

But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell (4:5). Who are you? Cain or Abel?

    "And it repented the

    lord

that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart" (6:6). How does God feel when He remembers you? Do you please the

    lord

? Or do you cause Him grief?

"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the

    lord"

(6:8). Have you found grace in the eyes of the

    lord

? Do you appreciate God enough?

Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man (9:6). Have you shed blood, or are you planning to shed blood?

    "And he believed in the

    lord

; and he counted it to him for righteousness" (15:6). Do you believe in the

    lord

and in His Word? How much do you believe the Word of God?

And I will give unto thee and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God (17:8). Who is your God? Are you part of this promise?

This is my Covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised (17:10). Have you faithfully kept the covenant between you and God? Are you circumcised?

And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you (17:11). What token do you keep to remember God’s covenant with you? Have you abused your skin with tattoo?

And God said, ‘Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him’ (17:19). Do you believe God’s promises in your life? Like Isaac, are you a child of promise?

And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation (17:20). What is your petition today before God? Have you interceded enough with God on it?

And said, ‘My Lord if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee from thy servant’ (18:3). How strictly and persistently do you entreat the Lord in your life?

"Is anything too hard for the

    lord

? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son" (18:14). Did this not happen? What is it that is too hard for the

    lord

to do in your life? I know there is nothing too much for the

    lord

    to do in your life.

"And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the

    lord

it shall be seen" (22:14). Do you appreciate God enough in your life to name an altar of worship and dedicate it like Abraham did? How often do you remind Him of His promises to you? It is important you dedicate an altar of prayers to God.

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies (22:17). Has this not happened in the life of the children of Israel? Which of their enemies have withstood them?

And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau (27:22). Whose voice are you speaking with, and whose hand is directing your life? Are you indulged in cheating and deceit? Beware.

And he said, ‘Let me go, for the day breaketh.’ And he said, ‘I will not let thee go, except thou bless me’ (32:26). Have you importuned the

    lord

to bless you like Jacob did? Or do you readily give up so easily? Insist and persist.

And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured (39:6). Have you won the trust and heart of your Boss like Joseph did? Are you worthy of his trust, and can he entrust all that he had to you without regrets arising from betrayal from you? Are you a godly person in character and not only in outward appearance?

And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her evil eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me (39:7). Temptation exists everywhere in the life of every child of God. The more challenging your temptation in life is, the more elevation in life when you overcome, or the more demotion you will suffer on failing to overcome. And if you fail and fall to temptation or to the tempter, the lower you will sink in life. Learn the right lessons from the story of Joseph and his tempter, Potiphar’s wife. Had Joseph fallen as most young men would, he would have been finished in life and truncated his destiny and those of his brethren forever.

And they said unto him, ‘We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.’ And Joseph said unto them, ‘Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me them, I pray you’ (40:8). If you were in prison like Joseph was, would you still be able to remember your God-given gift? Would you not have been grumbling and railing against God for having abandoned you in prison? And would you have held on to your faith in God as Joseph did? How many heads had Joseph, and how many have you? Would you only desire Joseph’s position when he became a prime minister in Egypt and never wish to share his prison experience? Do not always make easy choices. The most difficult choices usually are the most effective and most rewarding in solving our problems.

    Exodus

Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, ‘Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages.’ And the woman took the child and nursed it" (2:9). If you were Moses’s mother, would you have behaved as comely as she did? Would you not have betrayed your emotion and given yourself away? Learn self-control even in the worst of situations.

And God said unto Moses, ‘I AM THAT I AM:’ and he said, ‘Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you’ (3:14). Has God never said anything to you? Why do you not hear His voice in your life, or is it that God stopped talking to people since Moses died? Do what Moses did, and God will start speaking to you.

And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty (3:21). Pray for God’s favour even from your enemies and oppressors. Work with the

    lord

God Almighty, and you shall never go empty-handed. For none that has ever worked with Him went empty-handed.

"And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the

    lord

met him, and sought to kill him" (4:24). Why will the

    lord

seek to kill you? Reflect properly and see if you have broken any of his covenants in your life and redeem yourself from his wrath.

"And Pharaoh said, ‘Who is the

    lord

, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the

    lord

, neither will I let Israel go’" (5:2). This was an honest and true confession by Pharaoh. Do you know the

    lord

    ?

And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth (9:16). Ever cared to know God’s purpose in your life?

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt (12:13). Do you observe and obey God? What does the blood mean to you?

Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years (12:40). How long have you sojourned in the land wherein you now live, and what is your relationship with God all the while you sojourned on earth?

"And Moses said unto the people, ‘Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the

    lord

brought you out from this place: there shall no leaven bread be eaten’" (13:3). Do you still remember the day the

    lord

saved you from a major problem? How do you celebrate it?

    "And the

    lord

went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night" (13:21). Are you following the path chosen for you by the

    lord,

or have you charted your own path? Locate the path chosen for you by God and follow it without wavering. The light of the

    lord

    shall lead you to safety.

"And Moses said unto the people, ‘Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the

    lord

, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever’" (14:13). The Egyptians here represent 430 years of slavery and oppression. Are you afraid of any situation in your life which has been prolonged and seem to defy all solutions? Are you afraid, upset, and rattled by such situations, and are you fretting, cowering, and grumbling like the children of Israel under Moses? Now you know the solution to your problem. You have been liberated by God Almighty, but do not remain fearful of that situation—only be calm and witness the salvation of the

    lord

    , not doubting anything.

    "The

    lord

shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace" (14:14). Do you need any other assurance than this? Are you engaged in your own battle designed by you, when the

    lord

has assured you of peace? Give it up to the

    lord

    .

And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them (14:19). Do you understand the meaning of
