About this ebook

For anyone who has experienced turbulence on an airplane, it would be true to say that it usually comes without warning and happens quite suddenly. Things become a bit chaotic as you experience firsthand a change in pressure which rocks the airplane to and fro causing one to grasp the arm of the seat very tightly, lean one's head back, close their eyes for a moment, and say a prayer. Without knowing for sure, you, in fact trust, that the pilot is maintaining his composure and that he has been properly trained, skilled, and experienced in flying the airplane in any and all kinds of weather. Although there are certain safety precautions and standards set in place to protect or safeguard you against the danger of turbulence, it is at that point that one comes to the realization how much trust you put in the pilot flying the plane to get you through the phase of turbulence and get you to your destination safely. Trouble-there is no question about it. Everyone at one time or another has been faced with the turbulence it brings whether in health, family, finances, relationships, or something else. Psalm 34:19 says in the Amplified Bible that many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the Lord rescues him from them all. Many times, God gets the blame when bad things happen and the god of this world the devil is never seen as the real person to blame. Jeremiah 29:11 in the Amplified Bible says, "For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you," says the LORD. "Plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope." Whatever trouble it is that you are going through, you can know that you have the victory and that God has not deserted you in your time of need. God has an amazing plan for your life, and you can trust him and take him at his Word knowing that what he said he will do for you he will do and he will see you through to your final destination!

    About the Author

    Foreword

When Mrs. Laurie D. Fisher asked me to write the foreword for her new book When Trouble Comes, I was honored and I felt privileged. I first met her husband, Rev. Glenn Fisher, around 1989 to 1991 as we studied together at the RHEMA Bible Training College, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA. We then went for our itinerary in 2007, and I stayed in their home. Both Pastor Glenn and Sister Laurie treated us royally and blessed our ministry. Since then, they have been our supporters and prayer partners.

During the past ten years, we have watched Sister Laurie’s life and deep intimate relationship with Jesus and her love for her family, India, and the nations. She lives her daily life in passionate pursuit of the things that please the father’s heart and her heart’s desire to live for God and the way God designed for man to live. However, recently, her family went through a real testing time. As Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." The devil attacked Pastor Glenn’s health and I know they have gone through a lot of deep troubles, hence the title of her book is When Trouble Comes.

We all, God’s children, know that the devil is a liar and he tries to attack us. However, we have been given the authority by our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Great Commission, Mark 16:16–18 says, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

I know many of God’s people stood with Pastor Glenn and Sister Laurie as they went through troubles, tests, and trials and took authority over the devil and came out victorious. In Matthew 28:18–20, Jesus speaks of all authority being given to Him and then he released that authority to us. Yes! When God is for us who can be against us? Romans 8:31 says, "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Additionally, Romans 8:37 says, Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

As you read this book, I believe that when the devil brings trouble in your personal life, family, job, or finances, you can declare as Brother Hagin when he stood in the word of God in Mark 11; 23–24, "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith
