Chapter 1: Happy Birthday

The two title characters of our story...  Lawrence

and Joi, meet at a club on a Friday night. The year was 2007, and as the clock strikes twelve on an uneventful night, Joi’s birthday celebration starts, And this is where our story begins... She’s turning the big 25 and she’s focused on having the most amount of fun with her ratchet friends as she can handle. As Lawrence walks into the club with two of his friends, he instantly recognizes Joi. He immediately walks over to her and decides to stand directly in front of her face. They lock eyes; as if they’ve known each other for years, and this was the first time she’s ever graced his presence. Our tumultuous couple spends the rest of the evening together as if they came to the club as a unit. Inseparable at the hip. They had several conversations with each other during their long night of dancing. Each one was in tune with the other as if they were the perfect partner. As the days, weeks, and months went by Lawrence and Joi grow closer and closer. It’s puppy love. Lawrence doesn’t have much money, but Joi doesn’t care and they find life and excitement in the time spent with each other. But doubts also grow in a wandering mind. Lawrence lives in New York City, and Joi lives about 40 miles away in New Jersey. So the distance between them meant they couldn’t see each other every day...  But it also made every adventure together that much more memorable.  Numerous dates, fun times, lots of laughs... And the most amazing sex you could ever try to describe to someone. The spontaneity was extremely high between these two, so there’s really not a place they have not had sex in. But it was the type of love that they made in the bed that bonded them together for life. The perfect listener and the most willing partner.  He never spoke much to her about her likes or dislikes sexually.  She was curious as to why he didn’t want to know. His response was a simple one: You don’t have to tell me what you like because your body will do all the talking for you... Instantly a moistness built between her thighs. Every single encounter between them ended in bliss. Many women do not reach an orgasm all year, yet Joi has a minimum of one each time they see each other.  He knows the softness of his lips excites her, so he takes his time as he caresses every inch of her body with his tongue... She doesn’t hold this against Lawrence. She doesn’t hold any of Lawrence’s impoverished upbringing against him. What was Lawrence thinking? Why didn’t he realize she was the perfect woman for him? I don’t know, and neither does he. As happy as they are together, it’s hard to reach Joi when they’re apart. This creates space for doubt, which would spread out across the entire relationship over time.

Chapter 2: A Budding Romance

These two love birds would spend the next two years in a wonderful, loving, mature, committed relationship. Nothing could break the bond that these two had formed. Or so they thought...
