Luna Abigail - NatachaH

CHAPTER 52 Is This Hell?

The Third Person's POV

The shot rang out among the quiet people on the field. Willow had run from the safe room, needing to see if her sisters were okay. If Jax was okay. She ran and ran, until she reached the battle which was dying down everywhere, since Galaxy had ordered everyone to stop fighting and the enemy to surrender.

A woman in the safe room told Willow and every young pub down there what was happening. She was in constant contact with the warriors out there, and when she told them how Galaxy had made the fight almost end, Willow had dashed out of there.

When she saw her sisters in wolf form, she felt an immense sense of pride. They were both magnificent, but Galaxy's aura wasn't anything she had felt before. The aura of the two Queens combined. Wow! The girl also discovered she can read the minds of the wolves in front of her, something she never could before. She was wondering how that was happening when a new thought reached her mind. Galaxy was talking, taunting, the evil witch in front of them, when the thoughts of someone seeking a life smashed her senses.

'Just a little more. Just a little more. Right there, little Queen. You won't know what hit you. Just a little more.' The voice was distinctively male, cold and calculated. Before she knew what she was doing, Willow was running towards the crowd. She jumps as the gun goes off and feels the hit of the bullet in her small body.

Everything turns black, then sounds and voices reach her ear. She recognizes both her sisters, then someone she doesn't know, and then Jax. Her familiar. Her friend and her protector. Oh, he would think this was all his fault, but it wasn't. She made the choice to jump in front of Abby. She made that choice to sacrifice herself for her Queen and sister.

Why did you jump in front of me? Abby asks when the eyes of the little girl in her arms slowly open, not focusing on anything specific as she answers.

You are the only witch and werewolf Queen. We can't lose you. You are too important. And you are family, and we protect our family. She closes her eyes once again, feeling tired of the effort of speaking.

When she opens them again, she's in unfamiliar surroundings.

Ah, there you are, Willow. I've been waiting for you. A familiar female voice calls out. As Willow turns around, she sees her mother standing a few feet away, a big smile on her lips, her eyes sparkling with tears of joy and sadness, arms open for a hug. She runs to her mother, getting smothered in her embrace once again. As the warmth of her mother surrounds her, she lets her tears flow freely.

Why did you leave me, mom? Willow asks in a thick voice.

I'm sorry, baby girl, but I had to. My time was up and nothing was going to change that. But I'm here now, however briefly. Mallory answers. Willow looks at her mother in confusion, and then it hits her. If her mother is here, that means she must be... Dead.

Am I not staying with you, mom? She asks, insecurity eating at her heart. She doesn't want to be dead, but she also doesn't want to leave her mom again.

No, sweetheart. Your time is yet to come, and even though you are here right now, this is not death. We are in a limbo state, a place where spirits can visit those who are just there temporarily. Mallory answers with a small smile. She can't believe how grown up her little girl has become. How grown up they all are now. And despite the current war between her children, she still holds a lot of love for Sylla. She is not evil in her heart, but her ambitions and misguidance have blinded her to what her life could have been had she stayed on the narrow path of light with her twin.

Mallory has been watching over them all, been there in every sorrow and joy. Cried tears of happiness for their achievements and sadness for their failures.

The mother/daughter pair sit down, looking at each other. Willow remembers the day her mother was brutally murdered, and she remembers Ellie telling her to always keep her eyes on the price. And in this case, not let hatred of the murderer make her blind to all the things their mother had taught them.

I have missed you so much, mommy. Willow says in a small voice. The tears spilling down her cheeks again.

But I never forgot what you taught us! Forgiving, love, and laughter. The three cornerstones to staying on the path of light. She continues. Mallory smiles, pride shining in her eyes.

I know, baby! I have kept an eye on all of you ever since I had to leave you. I have seen it all. She smiles, but her expression turns serious.

Willow, I need to talk to you and this is urgent, as we have little time. Your father was not a forest guardian, as I have told you. I am sorry for lying to you all this time, but it was important for me to keep you safe. Mallory says with an eye cast to her youngest daughter. Willow furrows her eyebrows.

Then who is my father? She asks, wondering if her mother is intending to tell her or keep her in the dark still. And why was she telling her this now? She could have come to her in her dreams, like she had done numerous times before and told her, or she could have not lied to her from the start.

Well. your father and I met each other on a day. I was out walking in the forest. I felt sorry for myself, not for the first time, and needed a break from the twins' shenanigans at home. They were being looked after by Winter, who was like a maternal figure to me. Guiding me in motherhood, as I never experienced it properly with Abigail, because the deal was for me to have the baby, but to give her up to be brought up in her pack. Her wolf, though dormant, had an imposing presence on her already. Now I know why. Mallory reminisce before continuing.

CHAPTER 53 What Did That Mean?

The Third Person's POV

I was walking in my own thoughts and didn't see the hunter's trap in front of me. Before I knew it, it snapped on my ankle and broke it. I loosened it with my magic, but couldn't get it off, as they coated it with stardust, which prevents witches and warlocks from performing their magic. As I was the Queen at the time, I did enough to get out of the trap, but the dust kept being on my skin, slowly draining me. And this is when your father showed up. He had been patrolling nearby and heard the trap snap. I thought he was the hunter and would end me right then and there, but he picked me up bridal style and carried me to a cavern. Willow sat there listening to her mother's story with wide eyes and mouth agape.

When we reach the cavern, he put me down, wiped the dust off me and waited until my magic appeared again. We talked. A lot. And he told me he was one of the border guardians. Protecting our side of the border of the underworld, of anything passing through that wasn't supposed to. You see, some creatures aren't meant to cross over, but do anyway and some creatures are meant to cross over but are being held in there against their will. The guardians are there to help, guide, and prevent mishaps. They themselves can cross between the two realms freely. We started meeting in secret, because they did not mean for me to know about them, seeing as this would give me and my fraction an unfair advantage, but fate made a call that day. Mallory is far away in her eyes, watching it all unfold in her head as she tells her story.

We became friends, and then our feelings developed. We.. It just kinda happened, and one thing led to another. When we were caught, he was moved to the other side of the border, not allowed to cross over. We were forbidden to see each other again. Once again, I was alone. But soon after, I discovered I was pregnant again. With you, darling. Willow blinked and swallowed. Her father had been a border guardian. But what did that exactly mean?

I know this is a lot to swallow, darling. But what this means is that you will be able to cross over the border as you want, too. But there is something you need to know. You were not born on the other side and have never been there, so the journey will take a tole until your body gets used to it. Also, you are a forbidden child, a love child, but forbidden. This means that dark forces will seek you for your powers, because you hold so much more than meet the eye. And last but not least, I haven't been completely honest about your age either. You are not ten, but thirteen and will be of age in three years. Everyone believed me when I gave an age, because of your powers of mind reading and the fact that power will age everyone. When some doubted me regarding your womanly development, I told them you take after me and develop early. Which isn't half a lie because you really do. The only one who knew the truth was Winter. I alternated the twins' memory as a safety precaution. Mallory says the last things all in a hurry, trying to soften the blow.

She is expecting her daughter to throw a tantrum, but Willow hugs her.

I know, mom. I'm not even mad. Everything you said was in my protecting, but I wish you would have told me sooner. So, I'm not mad, but disappointed.

No sooner have Willow forgiven her mother, when she felt a giant electric shock waved through her body, and her being pulled away.

I have to go now, mom. Bye, I love you! She said before she feels herself fly away. She can see the hospital room where she is lying in the bed, and she watches when the doctor gives another shock to her heart.

As her spirit enters her body, she feels her senses regaining. She can hear the doctor telling the other staff she is back, a nurse giving numbers on her pulse and her heart beating steadily in her chest. Then another pulling feeling flows through her and the beeping of the machines disappears. What the hell happened now? The thoughts keep running through Willow's head when a new and unfamiliar voice is heard.

Ah, the princess. Excellent. I will let the master know. Then the footsteps disappear and Willow opens her eyes to a dark, luxurious room.

Where the hell had she landed this time?

Abby and Ellie are sitting together in the waiting room, trying to comfort each other while their mates are on either side of them. The guys both have glazed over eyes, showing they are mind-lining together.

Your Highnesses, everyone, I have to tell you.. The doctor start before Ellie and Abby shouting at him interrupts him.

SHE IS NOT DEAD! The sisters shout in unison. Their mates trying, but failing to keep them both calm so the doctor can get a word in.

No my Queen, Luna Ellie. She is not dead. They all realise the breath they are holding in, but Jax does not like the look in the doctor's eyes.

Then what seems to be the problem, Doc? He asks gruffly. His mate is okay, but something is still off about the situation. Then he turns on his senses and the aura from the room hits him like a brickwall. NO! How had this happened? Wait. Her heart stopped for a moment. FUCK! Jax's eyes turn ice blue, a demanding and dark aura surrounds him before a fierce growl escapes his lips.

What. Happened? He asks, enunciating each word. Everyone looks at Jax strangely before Abby gasps. Jax lock eyes with her, his ice blue meeting her swirling orbs. An understanding grows between them. Her eyes glow before they both nod once at each other.

CHAPTER 54 Newcomer

The Third Person's POV

The exchange doesn't go unnoticed by everyone, but none dares to ask what just happened. The doctor coughs to get the attention of the room.

Your Highnesses, she, uhm. Well, we got her heart going again, and she was with us for a brief moment, but then a dark green smoke surrounded the young princess and she... Well, she disappeared from the bed. The equipment just fell on the bed and floor. I.. I have never.. But Jax's cursing and growling interrupts the poor doctor again, who is now trembling because of the auras in the room.

Not only are the Luna's and Alpha's pissed off, but the royal wrath is out of this realm, and Jax is a force all by himself. The latter lets out a loud roar and disappears in a clear, bright blue light. Leaving everyone but Abby, bewildered, angry and powerless.

We will find her. Not matter when, where, who or what, we will find her! Abby and Galaxy says in unison, making the statement and order to the gathered pack leaders. No one can go against such an order, for it is definite. Matt nods in agreement, locking eyes with his beta and gamma. They are all on the same page. Willow is to be found sooner rather than later.

Matt and Jason can feel how their mates are broken by the loss of their sister and friend. Their heart is aching by her absence, but none the less Abby straightens up, looking around her.

Thank you, everyone. You have shown what real family means and helped us in our time of need. I request you stay here for e few days, as we all need to talk. She looks pointedly at Isadora and Daemon when saying this, and they both agree after a brief mind-link conversation.

- Meanwhile, where Willow is -

Willow slowly looks around the room, not recognising anything there. She swings her legs over the edge of the bed, pausing, listening for someone to come at telling her off, but everything is quiet. She put her feet on the ground below, expecting it to be cold as ice, but to her surprise it has a warmth to it. Not too warm, though. She senses something is different about this room. The aura in here is powerful, but familiar somehow.

She walks to a door in the dimly lit room, and it turns out to be a bathroom. Ah, finally something she knows what is. She turns on the light, which is also dim. Why is everything so.. Dark? Willow realises even the outside of the windows in the bathroom and the bedroom are darkened. Not pitch black, but darker. As if the sun cannot reach here properly.

She shrugs her shoulders and walks into the bathroom. When she is done with her business, she washes her hands but stops mid-wash, looking at her own reflection. What. The. Fuck? Willow leans closer to her image in the mirror, studying the girl looking back at her. She looks not only older, but younger at the same time. How in all the realm is that even possible? And her eyes? They are no longer their normal color, but ice blue with a trace of orange. Her magic has always had the color of orange. Maybe that is what that is, but how about the blue? She thinks back, and now that she actively remembers back to her childhood, Jax's panther has always had ice-blue eyes with a trace of dark green. Is there a connection? She shakes her head, trying to not overthink it.

As she walks out of the bathroom, a handsome looking young man is waiting for her. He gives her a dazzling smile and a bow.

Princess, it is an honor to make your acquaintance. My name is Jasper, and I am here to escort you to the Master or, as you would probably know him; the demon King. The man bows again and seems to await her reaction.

Willow remembers her manners and curtseys in the man's direction.

Oh no, please Princess. Don't do that. I am not someone to bow before. My brother, on the other hand. Jeeez. If you catch my drift. Jasper says with a laugh. Willow can't help but smile at him and his charming manners.

Uhm, okay then. Thank you, Jasper. If I could just get my clothes, then I'll be ready in a few minutes, but I don't know where I am at the moment. Sorry. She answers with an awkward smile. Jasper laughs and walks to a closet on the other side of the room, where women's clothing is hanging and laying.

Which ones would you prefer, Princess? He asks gallantly. This is definitively a man of the court. Willow giggles at his antics.

Some pants and a top. Uhm, maybe some clean underwear. And it's just Willow, please. She says as she walks over to inspect all the clothes. She takes out a pair of regular jeans, a tank top and some underwear. Willow then walks back to the bathroom to change her dirty clothes.

Okay, I'm ready. Willow announces as she walks back out. She stops mid-step. Jasper is not there anymore, but a gorgeous woman is. A scar on her left eye has left it white and blind, and she has a glow to her skin. Grey hair going to her mid-back makes her look kind of ethereal.

Hello. Willow says with a small hand wave.

The woman looks Willow up and down before curtsying.

So, this is the little pretty Princess, huh? She asks in a not exactly friendly voice. Willow only nods, not sure what to make of the newcomer.

Hm, so position and birthright clearly aren't everything. Well, I have replaced Jasper in taking you to the King. If you would follow me. You can follow instructions, right?

Willow nods again. Not able to comprehend someone can be so nasty in the first thirty seconds of meeting one.

The woman turns around in the door.

CHAPTER 55 The Princess

The Third Person's POV

Don't worry, little Princess. He will not eat you. Not today anyway. My name is Narine, by the way. She walks out the door, not looking back to see if Willow
