About this ebook
This book is meant to be a daily devotional where you can meditate on a couple of scriptures to receive revelation. From there, we go on to thank Jesus for all He has done for us and say a prayer at the end. It only takes a couple of minutes a day, but each and every day you will grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. The more we know Jesus the more we will grow in grace and peace. ( 2 Peter 1:2) the Gospel of John keeps revealing Jesus as the son of God and the son of man. Jesus continues to reveal the love of the Father for all mankind. You will see and understand that itś about Jesus. His sacrifice gives us grace when we believe what He has done for us.

Devotional - Shalom Jim
JOHN 1:1 Jesus - Word - Light
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Everything begins with The Word
- Jesus. Light came into existence when the word was spoken. It's that way with us. We all start in a dark world. There is some darkness in our souls but when we receive The Word
into our hearts; then it becomes brighter and brighter. The more we abide in Him, the more HIS light will shine in our lives.
Dear Jesus! When you bless us with your grace, your light shines in us. It is a great blessing to be able to share your light with others. The world seems to be getting darker and darker. I believe that you are going to bring your presence into our lives that will cause the darkness to disappear and your glory will cover the earth. Again we declare: light be
. We command the blind to see, deaf to hear, lame to walk, lepers cleanse and the captives set free. In the name of Jesus, the name above all names. To God be the glory Amen! ( do I hear an Amen? We need the whole body of Christ to bring light into this world) Shalom 2 U
JOHN 1:3-4 Through Him
John 1:3-4 All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
This is one of the main things that God wants us to believe. All things created, including you and me, came through Jesus. Now there are a lot of things in the world that didn't come from Jesus. Mankind has been given free will and rule over the earth. Most of Mankind has not used their authority for God's kingdom but has given it over to the Kingdom of darkness. We do this by not acknowledging God and praising Him for what He has done. Since most people don't acknowledge God, we see a lot of darkness.
In Him was life
. Jesus is the Tree of Life
and as we partake of His Grace, we receive life and live in the Light.
Dear Jesus! We praise and honor You for all that You are and all that You have done for us. When we come to You, You gladly give us what we need. When we declare by faith what You freely have given us, we receive that Grace to live in the Light and have an abundant Life. You have given us Your name to defeat the darkness. We declare Light Be
in Jesus' name Amen! To God be the glory Amen. Shalom 2 U
JOHN 1:5 Light Be
John 1:5 web The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.
When we read Genesis chapter 1, it tells us that darkness was in the world. God had to speak to the darkness before the Light came into the world. It tells us that God doesn't want darkness. He wants Light. There is a lot of darkness here on earth but this isn't the will of God. Mankind has free will. Christians have free will. We can stay speechless or fight against the darkness.
Dear Jesus! You are called the Light of the world because all Light comes from You. In You, we are capable of bringing forth Light. You called us the light of the world because we are in You and You are in us. Then You commanded that our light to shine. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. We shall continue to abide in You so that our lights will shine. We shall also declare Light Be
and dispel the darkness. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all in Jesus' name. Amen. To God be the glory Amen! Shalom 2 U
Mat 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden.
JOHN 1:12 Receive By Faith
John 1:12 web But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name: ( Jesus: Jehovah Saves }
ALL ONE CAN DO IS TELL the Good News about Jesus. It's up to the individual to receive. The Holy Spirit has a part in this. It's the Holy Spirit that deals with one to repent. ( And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: John 16:8 nkjv ) When we pray for the lost, it empowers the Holy Spirit to do its job. I think that's one of the reasons that we hear of great Revivals in the past; thousands of people would repent when the Good News was declared. I believe we are going to see it happen again.
And so, when we ask and receive Jesus into our hearts, He saves us and we become a child of God. There isn't anything in the world that can come close to that gift. Now spend the rest of your life declaring that you are a child of God and give God all the praise and thanksgiving.Dear Jesus! We thank You for Your Amazing Grace. We thank You for the Holy Spirit that keeps tugging on our hearts to receive You. We thank You for all that is declaring the Gospel and praying for the lost. Like You, we wish that none would perish but come to the knowledge of Your Amazing Grace. II Corinthians 13:14 nkjv The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all in Jesus' name. Amen. Shalom 2 U
Receive
: to take, to take with the hand, lay hold of, any person or thing in order to use it. to take up a thing to be carried, to take upon oneself, to take in order to carry away without the notion of violence, i,e to remove, take away
Gal 3:26 net For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith.
1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
JOHN 1:13 God's Will
John 1:13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
It has always been the will of God to have a family in His image and likeness. We read this in Genesis 1. Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
The man was given a free choice but didn't make the right one. The devil deceived them. That day, they died a spiritual death and were no longer in the image and likeness of God. This is why we have to be BORN AGAIN
.
God's will is for everyone to be born again. He keeps on calling us but not everyone accepts His invitation. I am very grateful and humbled by the Grace of God. It's hard to imagine and understand how God could be
