I Promise to Wait Till Marriage

About this ebook
I do not condemn the world for sin, but rather I believe that people will hear my heart as I speak to them about godly principles. In a world full of sexual immorality God is calling all Christians to take a stand for what they believe. God is calling our nation back to Christian values and to restore our morals to its purest form. We do not have to accept the present state of our world. We can say, "Enough is enough," and no longer give in to our lustful desires. As you read I Promise to Wait Till Marriage, think about how different our world would be if every believer promised to wait until the appropriate time to have sex. I believe that God will honor our sacrifice and reward us for remaining pure during our premarital relationships. I believe that these kinds of decisions will become contagious and spread like wildfire. I refuse to give up on our nation being what God intended it to be. I believe that God will bless His people as they wait for His plan to unfold in their lives. To all those who are unmarried, I challenge you to remain pure and repent of any mistakes that have been made. To those who are married, I challenge you to be completely faithful to your spouses and pray for the unmarried to honor the Lord in their dating relationships. I am doing my very best to lead by example. Please join me as the Lord inspires His people through the reading of this book.

Not Feeling Condemned
Iam fully aware that this book has the potential to condemn those who have not waited for their wedding night to be intimate. But that is not the outcome I seek for my readers. Rather, it is my prayer that the words that are read will minister grace to everyone who hears them. I pray that everyone would feel the love of Christ as they read what the Lord has laid upon my heart. I will choose my words carefully so that the reader will be uplifted, rather than put down or shamed. I will allow the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and direct me through my writing. Just as Christ was not sent by God the Father to condemn the world (John 3:17), I also was not inspired by God to condemn my readers. Only one man was sinless from start to finish, and to take it one step further, only one man lived his entire life without making any mistakes. Christ was and is the only person, who was perfect from start to finish, and He is the only one who did not make any mistakes.
King David was a man after God's own heart. He was a righteous king doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord. King David committed adultery in his heart when he saw Bathsheba bathing on the rooftop and he chose to sleep with her. He tried to cover up his sin so that no one would know about it, and that attempt failed. God sent the prophet Nathan to challenge King David about the sin he had committed. King David could have allowed his feelings of condemnation to eat him alive and turn away from God completely, but he chose to pray a prayer of repentance (Psalms 51:1–19) and restore his righteous relationship with the Lord. David suffered consequences for his sins, but he also received complete forgiveness for the sins he confessed. We do have to face consequences if we commit sexual immorality, but we serve a loving God, offering grace, mercy, and forgiveness of all our sins that we confess.
Some of the greatest men and women of God have sinned sexually, but it is not our job to condemn them but to uplift everyone and tell them about God's grace and mercy. Second Corinthians 12:9b says, My grace is sufficient for thee.
(Note that all Scripture quotations are taken from the King James Version.)
When we sin and make mistakes, God's grace is adequate; it is enough to cover us and allow us to experience true forgiveness of all wrongdoing. God promises to forgive us and cleanse us from all sins that we have committed. First John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We must take the word all to heart. Christ forgives us of all our sins that we confess before Him.
The Lord desires to forgive and heal those who have committed sexual sins. No matter how many times a person has messed up and committed sexual sins, they are not beyond the forgiving grace of God. Even if a person has sinned sexually ten thousand times, they are able to draw a line in the sand and say, From this day forward, I am going to serve Christ and allow Him to do His cleansing work in my life.
God is able to save, heal, deliver, and restore those who are addicted to sexual sins and help them to live with freedom and victory. I am very thankful for the blood of Christ and the forgiveness of sins that makes us innocent in His sight. Our sins are great, but God's love and forgiveness is greater than all our sins. We should take great joy knowing that many people have repented of their sexual sins and God does not hold that against them. Romans 5:20b says, But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound
(KJV). There is good gospel news, knowing that many people used to be consumed with sexual immorality, but now they are consumed with holiness, purity, and entire sanctification. They are now set apart for the work of God's kingdom.
If we truly repent and turn from our sins, we are a new creation in Christ; we are completely different than the person we used to be. Second Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Jesus set a perfect example by not condemning others. He lived His life in such a way that people felt love from Him, not condemnation. In John 8, the scribes and Pharisees brought a lady to Him, who was caught in the very act of adultery. Not only did He Himself not condemn her, but He also put a stop to the religious leaders condemning her as well. Jesus challenged the scribes and Pharisees to lay down their stones, which shows us a great example of what we should do. We are to lay down our stones and show love and forgiveness when we receive the knowledge that others have made sexual mistakes. We should never condemn others for sexual sins. Instead, we should be Christlike and teach people not to condemn others for sexual sins they have committed. After the scribes and Pharisees left, the lady caught in adultery got to the place where she could find herself gaining strength and peace. She found herself spending one-on-one time with Jesus and listening to what He had to say. Jesus spoke to her with love in His heart and graciously told her to
