Chapter 1: The Chaste Manifesto

The Chaste Manifesto is born of twenty years’ experience of male chastity, but it’s not necessarily a good idea.

It’s about how to make a chastity dynamic work where she — I’m calling her a Virgo — wants to treat his — I’m calling him a Chaste — chastity cage as a body modification, and wants him to otherwise shut up about it.

To outsiders, that really does sound like a bad idea. So, maybe this is really harm reduction… basically a collection of good ideas about how reduce the potential relationship issues caused by a bad idea.

However, it’s where some kinky couples end up, and it does cause relationship issues, not because it’s a crazy kinky way to live, but because the prevailing Internet wisdom pushes a very different male-centric version of chastity, where she’s the Keyholder and enjoys teasing and edging and manipulating and… and… lots of cool stuff. That’s OK. Those couples exist too. But treating Keyholder style chastity as the gold standard causes confusion and relationship stress in what I’m calling Virgo/Chaste couples: OMG I’ve been caged for two years and she hasn’t even pegged me once!

So, this is a manifesto for Chastes — men who aspire to be caged in chastity devices by default — and Virgos — the women who prefer them that way.

The Chaste Manifesto (Short Version)

This Chaste Manifesto is written as a letter from Chastes to potential, and actual, Virgos. It describes a dynamic for him to live up to, and for her to comfortably expect.

This is the short version:
