How to Use Hypnotic Language to Influence
Hypnotic language is one of the most subtle and effective tools within what we know as the language of influence, which encompasses more techniques and methods to achieve effective communication aimed at obtaining results.
Well, don't be scared, the objective of hypnotic language when we use it to communicate is not to hypnotize anyone, but to establish a deeper and more effective communication, to orient ourselves. Convince someone of something. It is an excellent tool: • To guide people when we use a visionary style of leadership...
• Sell a product when we want the customer to be interested in what we offer...
• Communicate with someone when we want them to think about the importance of something...
Hypnotic language is created to lower the defenses of the person we are talking to and break down the wall that separates us from the client. In short, what he wants is that while we communicate, he reflects and takes into account some of the aspects that we convey.
Rather than direct communication, hypnotic language is intended for subtle communication.
I remember learning it from Judith Lowe in 2007 and within a short time I felt able to use hypnotic language structures that I had previously rehearsed in some utterances.
These have been built into a way of speaking, arguing, or debunking over time, and practically without realizing it, I unknowingly use it today more than I want to.
The person who further developed hypnotic language and applied it to the helping relationship (in this case, psychotherapy) was Milton Erikson. He developed a mode of communication based on hypnotic language to allow someone to change their perception of him, set new limits or overcome difficulties.
