    Introduction

    I attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and took a computer class. I was tasked with an assignment that left me bewildered and confused.

    I didn't know anything about computers which I why I took the class in the first place. The first story in this book is from my computer class. I got an A.

    The paper got my mind thinking about other ways to write using a similar style. This book is what I came up with.

    I hope you enjoy it because it was so much fun to write. These stories actually wrote themselves; I was simply their muse.

    Computer Talk

    1984

    I took the Apple IIe computer class without realizing what I was getting into. I thought I could make tracks on those computer programs without any input. Well, talk about a cold start. Before I even took a byte out of it, I knew I had a chip on my shoulder. The first thing I did was to look for an access window. It was either that or get a booting up. Believe me, my main memory didn't fail me. I come from the hard sector of town where there aren't any ProDOS around. I knew if I wanted to act like a hard copy I'd better get a warm start. I have a few friends that are real characters. When I told them that I was thinking of joining the motherboard, they became volatile. I told them they'd get a wraparound a monitor if they didn't watch it. My friend, K, has a catalog with all kinds of utility programs. I knew I wanted something with expansion slots, in case I changed my program. But when I saw the sensing hole, I immediately took it back. How can I format a disk let alone make a file if there's a sensing hole in it? I wanted to be with
