    PREFACE

This book on Dark Psychology consists of two volumes, precisely two manuals, with respective introductions, descriptions, and conclusions specific to both parts. Two steps go to unify a single volume on this important and mysterious branch of psychology. A useful and curious guide for any beginner who wants to approach this subject. Those who approach or practice Dark Psychology seem to be more successful in life, but let's take a closer look at the structure of both books.

The first book studies in depth the more theoretical and historical side of dark psychology, which is considered a field of applied psychology. Dark Psychology has existed since the dawn of history, but only later will it be analyzed, studied, and recorded to be tracked in its cause and effect.

It starts from Eve who in Eden is manipulated-deceived by the snake, passing through the scholar Pavlov, on how we can manipulate the innate behaviors of dogs to achieve a connection to other stimuli, which in turn is called classical conditioning by psychologist Watson, conditioning that involves all aspects of human development and psychology.

From classical conditioning, we move over the years to Skinner's operant conditioning, in which something with a positive consequence is repeated (e.g. if you have a reward), while something with a negative consequence will be avoided (since it does not involve a reward). So, you have three types of responses that will follow a behavior: neutral operands,

reinforcers and punishers, all of which will be explored in more detail in the book.

And here comes Bandura's theory that studies the behavior of children and how they are completely influenced in their behavior by the social models they have to follow, for example, that of their parents and not only.

In this first theoretical book, we will have, in addition to the origins of dark psychology and the study of animal behavior and various subjects, also that of the tactics used, used outside the family environment.

The bases of the first book are unified in some simple conclusions: dark psychology emphasizes the concept of behaviorism, the study of how people act and how their direct influencer is the environment. Another conclusive basis is to keep in mind that no person is simple, we all wear masks, without ever knowing what they hide behind.

And after this first book comes the second step, the second part of the manual.

Here the previous section purely theoretical fades, leaving the scene to the more practical, but above all giving way to multiple questions, including:

›  Why do people use dark psychology and manipulation?

›  Why do they think they are acting with kindness or do they use it to get what they want?

This practical section highlights the connection between passive and active manipulation. In addition, we look at the

dark practices and the reason they are implemented; they are not always put in place to harm others but are often created just to act solely on the person using them.

Another topic under analysis is the effects of manipulation on love relationships between individuals that give rise to many different types of abuse and control tactics. The concluding basis of the second book is therefore to understand well how to be aware of manipulation and dark psychology, to monitor or limit their effects, whether they are positive or negative, and on those who practice it to others. But above all also dwell on why the manipulator benefits from having control.

A manual therefore divided into two parts: a theoretical and a practical one that cannot be read one without the other, because they support each other.

    Good reading

    CONCLUSION

    INTRODUCTION

Traditionally considered a field of applied psychology, dark psychology begins with the study of manipulation. Considering that dark personality types have existed as long as history can record, it comes as no surprise that those interested in understanding these dark types have been scattered across history as well. In particular, it is possible to find evidence of studies about manipulation and abuse in nearly every culture around the world. Humans have always victimized other individuals as long as they have been able to.

You can read in history about how people used to take slaves, destroy other towns
