PRACTICAL PASTORING
HH
MINISTRY COMES WITH LOTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES and challenges. Oftentimes, most Pastors get confused about what God expects from them. This happens especially when they don't get results, after putting in much effort to make things work. This confusion many Pastors go through, has caused a lot of pastors to abandon the ministry. The Fuller Institute confirms this in their report that, in America alone, 1700 pastors leave the ministry every month.
This trend is serious. God expects pastors to perform specific functions that will lead to specific results. As a pastor, you must know what these specific duties are, in order not to busily get yourself involved in what you are not supposed to do. This book will give you enlightenment on what roles pastors are supposed to perform. Continue reading and get blessed.

CHAPTER 1
JESUS DESIRES TO BUILD
HIS CHURCH
––––––––
T
HE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO KNOW as a pastor is that, the church belongs to Jesus and that, He has a great desire to build it. Do not think that, you are the only one who wants the church to work. Jesus wants it to work more than you do. Jesus said,
.... I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it
Matthew 16:18b
He called you into the ministry to work with Him to build the church, Jesus is the builder of the church and we as pastors are workers or co- labourers with Jesus. He has plans on how the church should be built and the roles we need to play as His pastors. The fact that you are the pastor of the church does not mean that you can do what pleases you. What you must know is that Christ is the builder of the Church and you have only been called to help.
