    DEDICATION

I dedicate this book to my Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the Lord of Lord and the King of Kings, my wonderful savior. He has blessed me with the gift of writing to glorify him and inspire his people. I thank you, Lord Jesus, for using my vessel so others can see the salt that you have placed within me.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

I first acknowledge my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, for without him i would not be here. His love and forgiveness has shown me that he truly is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6 KJV). Who is so great a God as our God (Psalm 77:13 KJV). I embraced the holy spirit for revelation and these beautiful words given me to release to God’s people. I acknowledge my grandson Trevion in his persistence in telling to Get in done Grandma, finish the book, with the power in his eyes to ignite the fire within me to complete. My granddaughter’s for the gentleness found in their words of encouragement. My grandson Eric for always showing me different ways to get things done. I embrace his input; he is genuine. My grandson Zaire for being in tuned into God’s frequency, hearing his voice and seeing the vision. His discernment is sharp. My pastor for recognizing in my writing the power to set others free. He refused nothing less than accomplishment.

    INTRODUCTION

My Beloved is a message of hope in poetry form that speaks to issues of the heart and soul. While walking through this journey of life, inspiration and encouragement are much needed to move forward, even though sometimes we feel we haven’t the strength to conquer what’s in front of us. But God tells us he will strengthen us with strength in our soul (Psalm 138:3 KJV). Hear his voice and feel his presence, receive his overflow of love as he calms your emotions with his peace. He that have an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith. (Revelation 3:22).

    I Can Exhale

    40944.jpg

Can you imagine holding your breath for a lifetime,

being in places where the sun doesn’t shine?

    Not having anyone to trust,

being on your guard is a guaranteed must.

Walking past a crowd, feeling like trash,

rumbling through papers, looking for stash.

Not knowing what it feels like to have a bath.

Not being able to buy dinner, not even half.

Wondering when this insanity will ever end.

Light up the monkey is woke; it’s time again.

Being on the streets so very late at night,

trying to find somewhere to sleep, it’s hard to avoid a fight.

Being used and abused and kicked around.

Where’s Robin? She must be hiding; she’s nowhere to be found.

Huddled in a dirty little corner under the bridge, silently crying,

I remember saying to myself, I feel like dying.

I managed with unknown strength to get up.

The Lord whispered in my ear, "I’ve passed you my cup.

I’ve died for my beloved that’s at this state.

My salvation will get you past the pearly gate."

I was at the bottom, but now I’m on my way up.

The Lord opened the door that no man can shut.
