Located on the corner of Graham and Elwood, the Samaras Milk Bar was a thriving hub of community and comradery in the Carlton neighborhood in Melbourne. Evander’s dad wanted to go the way of the newer milk bars, getting rid of the actual milkshakes and focusing only on candy, packaged snack foods, and soft drinks, but Evander was steadfast in wanting to keep Samaras the way it had always thrived with a counter to serve food and milkshakes.
