About this ebook

This book is about choosing to be right by Jesus, not to withdraw from bits and pieces of the Bible that could eventually lead to one cancelling Jesus altogether in their mind. I’m a firm believer in Jesus Christ; the biblical Jesus and not man’s idea of who they think He is. In this book I highlight the difference between the two. No one has taught us more about life than Jesus. There’s no better feeling than when walking away from a conversation, knowing you did right by Jesus.

James Masterson

First and foremost, Jim Masterson is a firm believer in Jesus Christ. He is filled with endless creative ideas and encouragement that he pulls from his life’s experiences including being a foster child and later homeless (for a period). Through it all, he trusts God’s will for his life. “With God you just don't know what's next. What you do know is that He has prepared you for it and will provide all that is needed to complete the task. What an interesting process this believer thing is.” He has expressed his life experiences thru acting, teaching, and eventually through writing. His writing career started with plays and skits that eventually led him to write several non-fiction and children’s books. Jim Masterson lives and writes in New Hampshire with his wife Susan.

To all those I have let down in my life,

    I pray your forgiveness.

Thank you heavenly Father for another day. I pray Your will be done and not mine and that You show me the difference. I am most grateful to You for sending Your Son Jesus because without Jesus my calling would be hopeless.

Thank you heavenly Father for my wife Susan who just below Jesus, is the best thing that ever happened to me.

    About the Author

    Preface

I’ve known for some time that Jesus, the Son of God, is not God. It wasn’t until about 2011 that I was willing to talk about it with others. Listening to numerous sermons, teachings, and conversations that said Jesus is God, caused me to want to jump up and shout, have you considered the biblical evidence? Do you know who Athanasius is? I left each one praying, God, you know I want to say something, give me the courage to do so. I can safely say, knowing I’m on the right side of God’s plan of salvation, God’s timing is perfect.

My investigation into who Jesus is goes back to my youth (I’m now seventy years old).

I’ve only met a few people to date, outside a classroom setting, and a handful in a classroom, who believed Jesus is God and knew who Athanasius was. As a matter of fact on October 29, 2013, I had a conversation with a gentleman who had just mentioned he believed Jesus was all man and all God. This led me to ask, do you know who Athanasius is? His response was I heard of him, wasn’t he a Jew? I explained he was a bishop in the Catholic Church and he was given authorship to the doctrine that made Jesus God. It’s called the Anthanasian Creed and it was written well after Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection. Whether he’s a Jew or not I don’t know. With love and kindness the Spirit of God led us on a journey through the Scriptures together. With a handshake and a smile, the conversation (as far as I was concerned) ended knowing a good seed was planted. I expected no less than God to give increase to it.

The Spirit of God is taking me on a journey through the Scriptures targeting the teaching of the Son is God, something the Anthanasian Creed introduced to the world in AD 325. Contradiction! is the word I used as I realized the Scriptures clearly did not support the Son is God, coming from those I was taught to trust and respect, let alone other falsehoods well documented in the Anthanasian Creed.

Jesus said to her, Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ John 20:17

Jesus says I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God in John 20:17, so
