    Medenki Cake

    Medenki are beloved Bulgarian honey cookies, and this cake pays homage to their wonderful flavors. Enjoy the warm spices and rich honey in every bite of this delightful cake.

    Ingredients:

    - 2 cups all-purpose flour

    - 1 teaspoon baking powder

    - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    - 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

    - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

    - 1 cup honey

    - 3 large eggs

    - 1 cup sour cream

    - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.

    2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves.

    3. In another bowl, cream the butter and honey until light and fluffy.

    4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the sour cream and vanilla extract.

    5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
