What Goes Around - John Sliz
1 - The Wrath of the C.A.C.A.
After parking his car amongst a dozen other cars along a rural road, Gil Logan walked through an open gate and up a dirt road that ran through a dense forest. The 34 year old thin man was late, which was typical for him, but instead of hurrying he strolled along the road enjoying the nature around him until he came to a clearing that was full of activity. At first he admired a luxury car parked in front of an upscale cottage.
Someone has money, he thought.
Gil then admired the view of the lake behind the cottage instead of looking at the dozen or so people gathered around something on the ground.
Dude,
a deep voice urgently whispered to him. Put your mask on.
He turned away from the view to look at who was speaking to him. Even with the blue mask on he could tell that it was their leader, Ben Hammer. However, he didn't know his real name. He only knew him as Hammer Time, which made him want to dance every time he heard his name. Oh, right.
He pulled out a mask from his pocket and put it on, hiding his appearance from any cameras that the cottage may have had pointing at the driveway. If there was a camera or two then it was too late, his face had been recorded. This didn't worry him because he didn't think of it.
With his identity firmly hidden behind a mask he moved closer to get a better look at what was happening on the lawn in front of the cottage. In the middle of the circle of the crowd of people he saw a really fat man in his late 50s lying on his back with both his arms stretched out to the side; both of which were being held down by a few of the larger men of the group. The fat man's legs were free, but he was far too out of shape to do more than kick his legs as he swore at the mob that had just stormed his cottage. He dropped more F-bombs than a rap artist. His wife, Carol, was being loosely restrained by two women, but she was too small and fragile to even attempt to break free even if she had thought about trying. She looked more annoyed than
