    A Christmas Memory

    ‘Just chillin’

If I could have a wish come true

It would be to spend an hour with you

Just chatting about this and that

    Life and all you know.

Not about the present, past or future

For they are paths with hazards abound

Dancing like shadows in the wind

    Instead, as friends well-known

    That have matured and grown

Strollin on a shore, with a Cuppa in hand.

If you, too, have this wish

    Really, my friend, ‘Just Chillin’

    Is the way to go

When you’re ready, your footpath steady

A time and date to meet a lifelong friend

For life is for living and sharing,

    A Lasting Friendship

    A treasure to behold,

    Like clasped hands that unfold,

    When asked to be there,

    No distance too far,

    Highest of mountains,

    Strongest of seas,

Rivers and lakes just hurdle till I reach thee.

    Time, people and places,

A Treasure Box of open gifts,

The feelings, the touch and the exchange of looks.

    A smile, a tear, a memory,

    It’s all there.

The warm summer sun on shimmering hair,

Lightweight cotton, sand in our toes,

    A golden mix of daffodils,

    Autumn colours, reselling leaves.

The frosty mornings, snow on our noses.

As precious as platinum, as red as a rose,

    As bedazzling as a diamond,

    Solid as silver,

    Everlasting as an emerald

A jewel as precious as any precious stone.

    Past loves, past lives,

Bringing the wisdom that keeps it secure

In our hearts, minds and beliefs, it will mature,

A lasting friendship that will endure.

    Live Each Day

Live each day as if it’s your last. Do not worry about the past.

Look to the future, Bold and bright,

Never caring about a dark night.

When you may not be able to walk,

Just think that life may only have just begun.

Think of each day as another challenge,

God’s test to us, to see if we can manage,

Give yourself, your soul, your heart,

As the sun rises, you’ll think more clear,

of home, family, and all that is dear.

So live each day as if it’s your last,

    For he will guide you,

    Along the right path.

    God Is All Around

    In every blade of grass,

    the leaves on the trees,

    An unopened flower,

    a berry on a bush.

    God is with us.
