Dedication
I am thankful to God for giving me the inspiration and knowledge to write this book.
This book is dedicated to my lovely family: my husband, Patrick Savoie, who stood by me throughout my writing journey. Patrick, I am grateful you supported me in writing this book. My three beautiful children, who believe in me, include my daughters Demour and Kaylia, and my youngest–my only son, Naythan. I love you guys! I could not have done this without you all cheering me on and supporting me.
In memory of my late grandfather, Lewis Chung (Sunrise 11/25/1925–Sunset 12/30/2017): You were my inspiration, my everything. You taught me so much about love and forgiveness. You were a devoted Catholic man of God, filled with love for everyone who crossed your path. I love you endlessly.

About the Author
Foreword
In 2018, I traveled on a church trip to Israel. At one point, I was walking at a specific location, reminiscing on a dream that had shown me that exact location where I was standing in Jerusalem.
Suddenly I heard the Lord say to me, Now you have seen it. I showed you this place twenty years ago in a dream. He went on, Now that you have seen it in person, it’s time to start writing a book about everything I have shown you in visions and dreams.
One morning while I was praying, I heard the Lord instruct me again to write another book. I was told I needed to share my experiences with Him with others, including the great works He did in reminding me of all He had shown me in visions and dreams, but most of all His grace, love, mercy, peace, and redemption.
Finally, He told me I should name this book I Am a Sinner. Acknowledging the fact that I was a sinner was my first step toward repentance.

My name is Melissa Savoie, and I am a Christian—a believer in Jesus Christ. I have been saved for over five years now, and I have seen the grace and mercy of almighty God in my life. In this book, I will share my story of salvation and redemption and how I found peace and joy in my life through the love of Jesus Christ.
I was once lost in a world of sin and despair, but the Lord saved me and showed me the way into His Kingdom. Through reading the Bible, daily devotions, prayer, and allowing the will of God to work in and through me, I have experienced the power of Jesus Christ, who redeemed me and restored my life from darkness to light, from sorrow to perfect peace in Him.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
—Matthew 11:28

However, even still today, although I want to live a life that is pleasing to God, it can be extremely challenging to deal with the responses that result from my sin nature in response to the activities and circumstances of daily life. I have thoughts, I speak words, and I commit deeds that are not in accordance with the will of God. The apostle Paul gives a very precise description of this problem in Romans 7:18–19 (

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.
