Friends, past and present, for their wise words, encouragement, support, and help. Thank you Sue, Sheryl, Alma, Tamry & Sue, and Pete.
To my work colleagues at Empowering U for their patience, support, and help over recent months/years, and to my family – Mum, Dad, sisters, brother, uncles, aunts, who are here, and nans and grandads, all unfortunately no longer here.

Dedication
The dedication of my poems not only goes to my friends, family, and loved ones, past and present, but to all who have their own trials they are facing in life, be it physical, mental, emotional, or otherwise. May hope and comfort be provided with love in the poems you read, helping you gain the strength to move forward.
Love to all xxxx
About the author
Lisa is the eldest of six children – four sisters, one brother. She has three children – two boys, and one girl – and one grandson, all of whom she adores very much. She is a care and support worker. She has experienced many trials, especially mental health. She believes everyone is equal, we are all special and unique individuals, and should be treated fairly as such.
The poems in this book she has written in her spare time – poems that have uplifted her, inspired her, and comforted her. Lisa loves to help others and feels that her poems will do just that, by expressing her hope, love, and faith, to help others by guiding with the wisdom she has gained with her experiences in her life. She hopes that whoever reads the poems will not only enjoy reading them, but will also feel the help and guidance from her wisdom.

I am here
I’m not far
Smiling down, on you
Look to the stars
I’m shining bright
For you to see
Dear sons and daughters
It is me
In your hearts
I shall stay
In the wind, blowing
So you feel me, today
I’m your dad
And I love you, true
Never to leave your side
Always with you
At night, when I shine
Just look up, and say good night
2nd March 2020
You’re my Inspiration
You’re my inspiration
The light, you give to me
‘Tis the inspiration, that I need
Helping me to see
You’re my inspiration
The gift to help me endure
No matter, how much I struggle
I know you’re there, for sure
You’re my inspiration
That is what you are
No matter, how tired I get
You’re definitely my star
You’re my inspiration
