Chris hadn’t wanted to go to the club on Halloween but once he laid eyes on her, he realized he had been horribly mistaken. Chris hadn’t even worn a costume like most of the people at Club V, and had come as himself, just watching other people dance while he nursed a single beer for a couple hours.

He wasn’t sure how long she had been there, but he thought that he couldn’t have possibly missed her. The second tallest person in the room didn’t even come up to her shoulders, though she was wearing large boots that added five inches to her already ridiculous height.
