About this ebook
Witch Ian O’Donnell and his vampire lover Khnurn have literally waited centuries to really be together, but no matter how many lives they spend trying to make it all work out, in the end it seems things just can’t come together. After moving their wedding from Samhain to Winter Solstice, they are sure they will finally get it right.
Unfortunately for them, a giant New England blizzard is just the start of their troubles. When Ian’s twin Seamus and his partner Mine get lost in the snow storm, Ian and Khnurn wonder if fate might just be sending them a message. If so, can they change what it’s saying?

Reaping What We Sewed

Chapter 1
Ian paced around the enormous old kitchen, stopping occasionally to stare out the kitchen window and at the giant piece of land that was his family’s back yard. His twin brother, Seamus, followed him, never more than three steps behind him.
I can’t believe we had to rehearse in the living room,
Ian said.
It went well. And the rehearsal dinner was great. Having it in the dining room was nice.
Having it somewhere where the few people who were here didn’t feel the need to bring potluck would have been nicer.
You’re a vampire, what do you care about the menu?
Seamus asked, slugging his brother on the arm with a laugh.
Yes, but I’m a vampire who wanted to have my rehearsal dinner at a restaurant, and my rehearsal at the place I’m getting married.
You’ll be in your venue tomorrow. It’s just outside.
Two feet of snow! What the hell was I thinking?
Ian asked, staring out the window again. Even for me this is goofy. Who plans an evening outdoor wedding in December in Massachusetts?
Seamus reached for his brother’s shoulder and grabbed it. You do. It’s what you want, and it’s what you’ll get. You didn’t just plan a December wedding. You planned your wedding on Winter Solstice. It’s a beautiful time of year.
There are already two feet of snow in the back yard and more to come.
We’re still a few days out. Maybe things will change.
Yes, it seems that they’re going to,
Ian exclaimed. We’re not just getting snow, we’re getting a freaking blizzard. The newscasters were talking about it tonight. My wedding day is supposed to be in the middle of the biggest blizzard we’ve seen in years. What was I thinking when I planned this?
You weren’t,
Seamus said. Or at least, you weren’t thinking about yourself. You were thinking about me. You had planned on getting married at Samhain, and I ruined it. You postponed for me. I’m sorry, Ian. I messed up your plans.
You did what you felt you had to do at the time. Gods know I have messed up your plans enough over our many years on the planet. Anyway, you went back to save Mine, and you found him. It worked out.
Seamus rolled his eyes. Yeah, I guess so.
What does that mean?
Ian asked.
Seamus sighed and looked at his brother. He then looked around the kitchen, careful to make sure that no one could hear them. It means that things could be better.
Are you and Mine fighting?
Ian asked with concern.
No, that would at least be some form of passion that we were sharing,
Seamus confessed. We’re just hanging out.
