The Unlikely Hero
In the heart of the African bushveld, where the acacia trees whispered secrets to the wind, there lived an ambitious little toad named Toby. More than anything in the world, Toby dreamed of something greater than the confines of his humble, algae-fringed pond. He pictured himself as a hero, leaping great distances and performing daring feats—not just any toad, but a super toad.
One fateful evening, as the horizon pulled a quilt of stars over the sky, Toby found himself caught in a spectacle that would change his life. A lightning storm, the likes of which the bushveld had rarely seen, crackled and boomed as Toby took shelter under the broad leaves of a baobab tree. He was unaware that this was no ordinary tree; it was whispered to be touched by the spirits of the land, holding magic older than the red sands.
As Toby gazed up at the weaving dance of lightning, a rogue bolt zapped through the air, striking the baobab tree and causing a cascade of sparkling energy to shower over him. Instead of feeling frazzled, Toby felt invigorated, as if the very pulse of the bushveld were coursing through his webbed toes.
With a newfound zest,
