About the Author
Hello, friend! It’s so important to begin each day putting the Lord first. I invite you to join me in prayer every morning, dedicating the day to God. Watch Him move in spectacular ways as you delight in Him! God is good!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Jesus, thank You for giving us new life! As we approach the new year, we reflect on changes we want to make and goals we want to meet. Check our hearts, Lord, that our plans may align with Yours. Make Your convictions our convictions. Do whatever You wanna do; say whatever You wanna say; move however You wanna move; change whatever You wanna change. My heart is an open space for You to come and have Your way; I’m open. Lord, we are open to whatever You want to change. Give us the courage and discipline to follow through on the work You want to do in us from this day forward. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

When Jesus spoke again to the people he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
(John 8:12)
Thank You, Father God, that You have chosen us to shine like stars among a warped and crooked generation. Help us when there seems to be too much darkness on every side. Remind us that You are our source of strength and You never run out of love or power. Jesus the Son, You are the sun of our lives. We bask in the warmth of Your loving-kindness, absorbing Your radiance to go share it with others. Thank You for generously shining Your never-ending light into our lives. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself.
(Galatians 5:14)
Lord, we live a fast-paced life on this earth. Sometimes we rush past the same neighbors every day, without giving a second thought to get to know them. How can we share Your love with our neighbors if we don’t give them the time of day? Jesus, You were intentional to lay Your hands individually on those You healed. Stir in our hearts to take our time with others. Help us to be inviting, patient, and kind. Show us the right way to represent You, and encourage us to take our time to love a neighbor today. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/4
For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. (Deuteronomy 20:4)
Father God, sometimes we just need a win. Thank You that in the grand scheme of things, we’ve already won. Our Savior Jesus has conquered sin and death and the devil forever so we could share the win of life in heaven forever. Help us to take on a winner’s mindset. Help us let go of habits like finding excuses or complaining, which only add to the problem. Let us find solutions by searching for the answers found in You! If You are for us, who can be against us? We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/5
Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. (John 1:16)
Lord, thank You for giving us things to enjoy in this life. Let us take the time to appreciate all You’ve blessed us with. Let us look for joy in the ordinary day today. Let us share laughter, meals, and quality time with the people who make this life worth living. Let us seize the day, praising You and rejoicing for the life You’ve given us. Let us choose love and joy today. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/6
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Heavenly Father, there is no greater compliment than to be changed to be like You, revealing Your glory. Thank You for taking us of the mud, cleansing us of our transgressions, and placing our feet on a firm foundation in You. Thank You, Jesus, for making us as white as snow. Let us not be tripped up by the ways of this world. Let us fix our gaze on You, longing to be transformed evermore into Your image. Let us pray without ceasing, aiming to fulfill Your will in every breath we take. You are worthy of our entire lives and so much more. Thank You for choosing us to show the world how great You are. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from You. (James 4:7)
Heavenly Father, we open our entire being to receive Your love fully. We sit at Your feet and let nothing in but You. We take a moment to bask in Your magnificence. As the enemy’s whispers attempt to break through into our thoughts, give us the strength needed to wield the sword of the spirit, cutting him down with Your truth before he gets the chance to get near us. Let us recognize his approach, with the intent to resist him. We raise a hallelujah, and we watch the darkness flee. We draw nearer to You, Lord. Nothing else will do; we just want You. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/8
So do not worry, saying, What shall we eat?
or What shall we drink?
or What shall we wear?
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. (Matthew 6:31–32)
Jehovah Jireh, You provide all we need. Living in a world of consumerism, we can get caught up in thoughts of not having enough and wanting more. Help us to be responsible with the finances You have blessed us with. Help us make wise decisions about our investments so we can prevent later worry about whether or not will we have enough. Protect us from the trap of greed. When we start pouring our money into unnecessary possessions, we realize there is always more to be bought. Help us realize the difference between want and need, knowing You will always give us what we need. Give us the restraint to turn down unnecessary luxury and instead use our extra means in ways to serve You, Your kingdom, and Your people. Open Your children’s eyes to all we have already, and move us to gratitude and contentment in what You have provided. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/9
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11)
Lord, it fills us with cheer to worship You, our living God. We trust You to be in control like You always have been and always will be. Thank You for making us like a well-watered garden in a sun-scorched land. Let us live in a way that shows the new life You give. We know there are many souls dying of thirst, desperately in need of Your spring, whose waters never run dry. Overflow out of our hearts and mouths to sing Your praises for all the thirsty souls to see the way only You satisfy. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/10
Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. (1 Peter 3:8)
Jesus, interweave Your heart into the heart of all Your church. Let us be of one mind, loving and sympathizing with one another. Let us be tender and humble, spurring one another on to good works. Make Yourself the centerpiece of every table around which Your people gather. Help us extend the kindness we have received from You through one another to every person we encounter in our lives. Let us be eager participants in spreading Your joy to glorify Your name! We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/11
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. (Psalm 23:1–3)
Jesus, thank You for guiding us through this life. We know we can trust You to lead us along the best path and that You have our best intentions in mind. You gave up Your life so we could have new life in You. Thank You for continuing to be good to us even as we stray and welcoming us back with open arms. Thank You for refreshing us with Your peace. When we stop and think of Your goodness, we know we lack nothing, for with You we have all we need. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/12
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (Matthew 7:1)
Heavenly Father, we are sorry for the times when have taken on Your role as judge. We know we aren’t perfect, and we have no right to judge. How many times have we harshly judged others for their decisions or behaviors? Forgive us, Lord. Please convict our hearts when we are tempted to judge others, remembering that we will receive in return the same level of judgment we pass on to others. You alone hold the right to judge, and we respect Your authority. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/13
I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness. (Isaiah 61:10)
Jesus, thank You for the gift of salvation! Help us not to allow our sin to make us question who we are in You. We know we will never be perfect until the day You call us home. But You loved us while we were still sinners and at enmity with You. We ask forgiveness for the things we aren’t proud of. We ask for strength to continue following Your word when things get hard. And we thank Jesus for covering us in His robes of righteousness, allowing us to approach You in prayer at any time. We thank You and love You in Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/14
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
Abba, thank You for the people You’ve brought into our lives. You know what we need, when we need it. Sometimes our spouse, family or friends can challenge us when our differences arise. Help us to look at our differences in a new light, Father God. Have You sent this person into our life to grow us in an area of weakness? Instead of reacting with frustration, motivate us to reflect on our own contribution to the conflict and what we need to do from our end to restore peace. Let us appreciate our differences, recognizing that together we make a well-rounded team. We thank You and love You in Jesus’s name, amen.
61273.png 1/15
And to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: you should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you. (1 Thessalonians 4:1)
Lord, help us to live a humble life. Fame is glamorized in our culture, causing people to hunger for attention, money, and popularity. We don’t need fame. We don’t need people to know our names. They need to know Your name. Help us to keep ourselves from the love of money and praise of man. Let us be grateful to mind our own business rather than being distracted by those in the spotlight. We are here to build toward eternity in heaven with You and we don’t want to be led astray by earthly treasures we won’t take with us when our bodies die. Jesus, You lived with little and accomplished so much. Let us look to You as a role model far above and beyond any celebrity lifestyle. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/16
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)
Every day, every hour, we have the choice of perception. We can choose to see the good, or we can fall into the trap of negativity. Lord, help us choose to see You in all things. Give us faith to trust Your voice when it is difficult for us to see. Unite Your children, making us like-minded in the Spirit. When one falls down, send another in the name of Jesus to help them back up. Please give us Your timely word to share among the family of Christ in times of need. Point us always in Your direction. Use us to help one another choose You in everything we do. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/17
But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.
(James 4:6)
Father God, we know You resist the proud but give grace to the humble. When we are blessed in a season of success, let us remember all good things come from You and belong to You. All we have is Yours. Help us to remain humble, thanking You for all You provide. We thank You and love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
61273.png 1/18
The unfolding of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. (Psalm 119:130)
Father God, thank You for Your word. Thank You for giving us all the answers to every question proposed by
