INTRODUCTION

As the days get spiritually darker and darker, as we approach the soon coming again from Heaven to earth of God’s Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, to remove all believers from the earth (noting 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17), we are seeing increasing demonic activity all over the world, in that we see an antichrist spirit at work in the world, not only trying to erase and shut down all things relating to God and the Bible, but also persecuting those who hold to a Biblical faith!

We should not be surprised by this, for God tells us in His word what conditions will be like on earth just before the return of His Son to remove believers from the earth. For instance, let us note what God says at 1 John 2:18, Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now MANY ANTICHRISTS HAVE APPEARED; from this we know that it is the last hour.

And it is the fact that we are in the last days of the present age that we see people all over the world, who do not have a personal relationship with God through faith in His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, have a character that increasingly becomes like those whom God describes at 2 Timothy 3:1-5, But realize this, that IN THE LAST DAYS DIFFICULT TIMES WILL COME. [2] For men will be LOVERS OF SELF, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, REVILERS, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, UNHOLY, UNLOVING, IRRECONCILABLE, malicious gossips, WITHOUT SELF CONTROL, BRUTAL, HATERS OF GOOD, [4] treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; AVOID SUCH MEN AS THESE.

It is because of the days that we are presently in, where people are getting increasingly less human and more like animals (which may partly explain why wild animals no longer fear us), that a book such as this is needed, as a help to believers, so as to know how to handle persecution that we are all under in one form or another, and to do so in a way which pleases God and brings glory to His Name!

There is an Addenda at the back of the book with two sections. In Addendum A, we have The nature of man and the consequence of sin, and in Addendum B, we have a gospel message for those who may not as yet have that vital personal relationship with God. Just as we do not allow strangers to just walk in and come stay in our home, so too with God, in that He does not allow those who do not know Him into Heaven, which is His home!

What should also be mentioned before closing this Introduction, because we are all somewhat curious by nature, is that after completing 21 years of formal education, and then spending almost 28 years working in Project Engineering and Management in the Corporate offices of two large utilities, God called His servant as a non-denominational evangelist in early 1999, and then sent him out over two thousand miles, away from family and friends, to the place of service God assigned, which is where His servant has been, and is still serving Him, as evangelist, author, and counselor. The author is a widower with three adopted children, all now married with a family of their own.
