First and foremost, it is dedicated to my father, Magrin Arap Limo, who taught me the importance of faith through his Bible studies and his passionate approach to life as a dad and a businessperson. His example has been a guiding light in my career, and I am forever grateful for his wisdom and guidance.

I also dedicate this book to my late mother, Jane Jepleting Limo, who was not only my first friend but also my first inspiration. She instilled in me a love of learning and a drive to succeed, even in the face of adversity. Though she passed away when I was just fourteen, her influence has continued to shape my life in countless ways.

To my children, Cameron Chiles, David Limo, Victoria Limo, and Naomi Limo, I dedicate this book with the hope that it will inspire them to embrace their own faith and pursue their dreams with passion and purpose. I pray that God will capture their hearts at a young age, guide them on their own journeys, and pass it down to future Limo generations.

It was an honor to preview Faith: The Salesman Creed authored by Sam Limo, who is more like a son to me than a brother-in-law. The book serves as a powerful testament of faith, and Sam, fondly referred to as Protich, his middle name, exemplifies its principles. His story is just the beginning, as he is undoubtedly destined for greatness. Growing up in the village of Ndaptabwa in the Great Rift Valley, Sam was a curious child who often sought my guidance, particularly in matters of education. As a math teacher, I found great joy in nurturing Sam’s passion for mathematics, which formed the foundation of our strong bond. Through his unwavering determination, laser focus, and ambitious spirit, Sam earned a well-deserved place at a prestigious national school on merit. Despite numerous obstacles, he not only excelled academically but also honed his leadership skills. Leaving high school with his head held high, Sam was ready to face the world, fully aware that countless challenges lay ahead. The years from 1998 to 2000 marked a transformative period for Sam, as I witnessed his transition from a young boy to a determined young man. Faith played a monumental role in Sam’s journey to America, the land of opportunities. While an ordinary kid might have been content managing his father’s rental property and attending a local university, Sam yearned for more. Sam arrived at Minnesota Southwest State University and swiftly adapted to the new culture. His unwavering focus and initiative proved invaluable as he completed his university degree in just four years, all while juggling work and school without the assistance of scholarships or loans. In 2005, I had the honor of attending Sam’s graduation alongside Mzee Limo, Sam’s father. Following the ceremony, Sam treated us to an excursion through the breathtaking great plains in his red SUV.

As a student of Geography, I had the privilege of being the co-driver, assisting with old-school printed Google Maps that flawlessly guided us along the way. It was an incredible firsthand experience of the vast beauty of the great plains. Our journey concluded in Dallas, Texas, where we were warmly welcomed. Upon reaching our destination in Dallas, Texas, we were warmly greeted by William Munai, a Texas veteran, who treated us to a delicious meal of roasted goat meat. It was a heartwarming welcome that added to the fondness Sam had developed for Dallas during his previous visit. Sam’s unwavering faith once again led him to Texas, making him the first family member to reside in this great state.
