A Woman Called Anna

About this ebook
Anna is a woman you don't mess around with if you know what's good for you. Beautiful, self-possessed is the best way to describe her; not only can she twist people round her little finger, but Anna can make them dance to her tune. On their first meeting Linda can’t make up her mind if Anna is naive or devious. What Linda doesn’t realise however, is that Anna is going to change her life forever.

Chapter One
Seven thirty, usual place. Yes, I’ll be there.
Linda was puzzled. As a rule, her ex didn’t call at a minute’s notice expecting her to drop everything, change any plans she’d made, but he had. And against her own better judgment, she had agreed to meet him later that evening.

She was glad he was moving on; their marriage had not been what one would call a bed of roses. John had expected to be able to carry on as a single man after they married; nights out with the boys, weekends away following his favourite football team… or so he said.
Linda had remonstrated over the way he had been staying out until the early hours of the morning and he had retaliated by moving to the spare bedroom.
Well, I won’t disturb you now when I come in late, will I?
he’d snapped.
Linda took another sip of the Earl Grey and brought to mind the nights she’d laid awake waiting to hear his key in the lock letting her know he was home safe and sound.
