    QUESTION 1

How do you handle a verbally abusive husband?

    Answers

The first thing is to know who God says you are.

    Who am I in Christ?

Having answered this question positively, please do ignore the verbal abuses.

Whose report will you believe - that of a verbally abusive spouse or that of Christ?

Wisdom is the principal thing. Our identity is in Christ Jesus and not in any powerless utterance. This should apply to handling verbal abuses generally.

A lot of patience, tolerance and prayer should be employed here; with these, you will overcome it.

You are fairly and wonderfully made. Turn a deaf ear to them. They are mere words, not who or what God says you are.

Verbal abuse means using insulting words on one. Words can make or break someone's spirit. Feed your inner mind with God's word strongly so that when negative abusive words are thrown at you, your Word level, rich in God's truth, can counter it. You are who God says you are and not what any person thinks or says you are.

    QUESTION 2

How do you handle an unfaithful spouse?

    Answers

When a spouse violates the marriage relationship by having sexual relations outside of  the marriage, it is normal for a wife or a husband to be severely hurt, angry, offended and to wonder what God’s will is for them. It is important to understand God does allow divorce in such situations with the right to remarry.

However, God also desires the offended spouse to forgive the offending spouse and rescue the marriage, if possible.

Sex outside marriage or adultery is the oldest reason for divorce. Adultery is one of two reasons for which God allows divorce. In Matthew 5:31-32 Jesus said: It was said, ‘WHOEVER SENDS HIS WIFE AWAY, LET HIM GIVE HER A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE; but I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for the reason of unchastity, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery’".

Another view based on scriptures: God hates divorce. If everyone divorces their spouses because of adultery, what is the essence of forgiveness, mercy and grace of God?

In Matthew 19:8-9, Jesus repeats the same message about divorce, except this time, He adds that divorce is permitted only because we have difficulty forgiving an offending spouse. Jesus referred to unforgiving hearts as hardness of heart. He said to them, Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.

    The same bible says: Forgive.

He that is without sin, cast the first stone.

Finally, I, the Lord, hate putting away as in divorce.

You might be thinking about divorce. God hates divorce. Instead, forgive him and pray for repentance for him.

Patience, prayers, advice and pleas for the spouse to stop the shameful act.

    Question 3

Can you give more insight and in-depth explanation on salvation?

    Answers

Salvation is a personal experience. It's a new life, repentance from old way of life and living; a rebirth in Christ by the blood of Jesus Christ.

It's a personal relationship with God in Christ by the help of the Holy Spirit. It's a daily carrying of one's cross and working out one's salvation with fear and trembling.

Only the Holy Spirit can guide one aright, hence our Father gives Him as our comforter.

However, maintain a strong desire to know more about our God.

5:8 says: But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.

Rom. 5:10 For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Before one can be saved, he must be made aware of his spiritual need before God. Only when they see their sin and themselves as God sees them, are they ready to respond to the gospel. The Word sums up our need.

By accepting Christ as your Lord and personal savior, walking in the light of His word, having the fear of God and obeying his commandments. Being humble, loving the things of God. By expanding the kingdom of God through winning souls for Him. Loving one another which is the golden rule. Above all, being spirit filled and allowing the holy Spirit to control your being. Thanks.

    Question 4

How do you handle too much demand for sex from your spouse?

    Answer

Ask God to give you the strength to handle his urge and communicate with him in love. According to the scriptures, you can't deny your husband sexually except in agreement as regards praying and fasting.

    Question 5

How do you handle a spouse who won't verbally ask for sex and damn too unromantic?
