    About the Author

    You and I

    Simply Put

Simply put, I am talking to you about what I see and feel. I have many thoughts that come from me and even more thoughts that come from you. I am a painter of words, and you are the canvas. I am trying to separate who I am from who you are with hope we will create a masterpiece together. However, this is no easy task because I must ask much of you and even more of me. But I do not despair. I have my brush, and you have your canvas. Together, we will drip the paint and let the brush and canvas do their work.

Your form would be lines and curves that would dazzle the mightiest rulers and the smartest minds. No one could deny you, but you would be mine to behold and adore. However, you are not subject to imagination, and I cannot write you into existence. Your beauty is too much for mortal beings. You can exist only to die, and no one—not even I—can have you in the world of time.

    Loss

If I could describe loss, but I cannot… It touches a realm too intimate and personal; language can only describe its surface. I am left with a weight that may subside with
