BLACK SCREEN.

The following text scrolls over the black screen and the theme song of Mark of the Beast, something like Vocalise by Wojciech Kilar (similar to The Ninth Gate) plays.

SUPER: World War III has destroyed the United States. The Warden has complete control. Martial Law rules Oceania now. Curfew is at 9 pm. All chipped humans must report to their holosphere at that time or they are AWOL and a warrant is issued for their arrest. An RFID CHIP implant is required of everyone under penalty of death for refusing to take it. A few rogue nonchipped humans have found refuge in hidden caves in isolated desert regions. Living like Bedouins in the once land of the free and home of the brave...

EXT. CALIFORNIA - AERIAL VIEW - DAY

Something like a recording of The End by the Doors plays. Large ULTRA-MAGOG DRONES with large rotors flying in formation over California forests. They have long tails like locusts. Directed energy beams shoot from their tails.

Forests explode into massive flames. Massive fiery infernal. FIRE, FIRE, FIRE EVERYWHERE.

It looks like Armageddon.

The drone formation flies over Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley and zaps the vineyards with the beams. Vineyards and everything else explode.

The drones vaporize people living in mega-tent cities near the Golden Gate Bridge, and in downtown L.A., Beverly Hills, Sacramento. Hollywood.

The drones fly over a small town and burn it to the ground with directed energy weapons. The last thing to burn: a sign that says: Welcome to Eden, California.

A massive earthquake devastates the state and levels Stanford University, including a bronze statue of a football player, YOUNG BUCK.

INT. YOUNG BUCK’S CAVE - DAY

A cave with a fan on the ceiling rotating.

The man from the statue, YOUNG BUCK, 50s, his eyes open, lies on his back on a bed. He sweats profusely. Tan skin and a white sheet covers his waist. He thrashes around.

On the white pillow next to his head is a black leather Bible. His eyes, wide, stare at the Bible, then the rotating fan on the ceiling of the cave.

He also stares at the bedside table.

YOUNG BUCK

The Anti-Christ is here.

A copy of National Geographic from 2010 with King Tut on the cover sits on the bedside table next to a high quality silver fountain pen. Someone has circled the headline on the magazine cover with fountain pen ink: KING TUT’S DNA: UNLOCKING FAMILY SECRETS.

A ceramic fraternity mug with the words Young Buck 19 Stanford on it sits next to the magazine. Below the words is the quote, ’A fella could get the reputation of being a young buck.’--RR

Next to him in another bed, ANNIE, 50s, long brown hair, sleeps calmly on her stomach.

Young Buck sits up with his head in his hands. He rubs his eyes. He snatches the Bible and flips it open to Isaiah 61.

YOUNG BUCK (CONT’D)

The day of vengeance of our God.

From the Bible he pulls out a dual citizenship Russia passport with an RFID chip. He hears a voice in his head-- VLADIMIR PUTIN’S VOICE.

VLADIMIR PUTIN’S VOICE

Be on the ledge with your wife and child at seven o’clock at night.

Nine o’clock on the East Coast.

Annie half wakes up, and next to her, a small sleeping form stirs. Annie opens one eye and stares at Young Buck, concerned. She doesn’t look like she’s had a lot of sleep.

Young Buck places the Bible down and stares up at the fan. Closes his eyes and lies back down. He cannot sleep.

Annie shuts her eyes.

YOUNG BUCK (V.O.)

I was just minding my own business, keeping my nose clean not trying to attract a lot of attention being the lone wolf hermit kind of guy I am. Out of nowhere like a bullet in the back I discovered that Joseph’s mummy had been discovered in the Valley Of The Kings in Egypt in 1905. And of course he had my DNA, my Western European Celtic R1b DNA.

Outside, from a very great distance, he hears an electronic and metallic whirr. Ominous. Sounds like the Grievers in The Maze Runner.

YOUNG BUCK (V.O.)

The Holy One of Israel is God; The Bible is the true word of God; The Western European Celts are the Chosen People;

The Jews and Israel are the Synagogue of Satan.

YuYa’s mummy proved once and for all that the Jews are not the Chosen People and that they have no right to Israel and need to be kicked out. Of course being the dumb shit I am I self published this in a book using my own name. I am a great attorney and could have proved this in court. Shit. What an idiot. Why me? Why is it always me?

Unable to sleep, he gets up.

When he gets up, the small form stirs and wakes up Annie.

EXT. YOUNG BUCK’S LEDGE

Super: OCEANIA DISTRICT 11, OCT 31, 2024, 5 HOURS UNTIL CURFEW

Young Buck, six feet tall and with a physique that screams former quarterback, crawls slowly out of the deep tunnel leading inside the cave. He wears a long white Bedouin robe, sandals and futuristic high tech coolant gloves. He has a three-inch vertical scar that runs the length of his face.

A cell phone, one battery bar left, chimes. A text message from MOOSE.

Young Buck reads the message. It reads: JUSTIN BANNAN ARRESTED. WASN’T AT CURFEW. ALL HAIL WARDEN OF OCEANIA. A
