Ancient Beast is a tale of Derth the Dragon of Darkness whose plans are to annihilate the human race. Because he believes human life are parasite to the world. A Brave Knight by the name of Kane Brawler was out on an escorting mission for the King of the Flame Kingdom and was ambushed by another land. Kane was defeated along with his team However, Kane's rage summoned Derth the Dark Dragon and killed his enemies. Derth granted him power but at a price for his firstborn child to be his vessel.

One year passed since then and Kane and his wife Julia were expecting a child. Within the 8th month of her pregnancy, Kane was sent out on another mission. While he was away, Julia was possessed by Derth the Dark Dragon while she was asleep. Due to Kane’s promise to Derth. She killed everyone in the Flame Kingdom, in cold blood while they were sleeping and the children were fed to the demons. By morning everything was burned to the ground. Once Kane returned seeing the Flame Kingdom engulfed in flames. He and his second-in-command set out to look for Julia.

On their travels, they visited a powerful sorcerer, by the name of Azura Winbald. He resided on M. Hikari, apon their visit a beautiful priestess by the name of Luna of the night company them to stop Derth. They traveled 3 weeks in search of the other Ancient Beast to seek help from them to stop Derth’s plans. Two days before the full lune eclipse Kane and his new partners battle countless demons to get to Julia before Kane's child is born. On the night of the full Luna eclipse, Julia's water broke and rays from the full Luna eclipse opened a huge dark portal in the middle of the night sky. Shining on Julia lifting her in the night sky, in the center of the huge portal.

The battle raged on for hours but due to the 4 brave Heros, and 4 of the Ancient Beasts Ryuuji (Fire Dragon), Mano (Water Shark), Dunia (Rock Lion), and Nilch’i (Wind Eagle). They Had helped Azura seal away all 5 Beasts inside of a Book, calling it The Book of The Beast. The book was sealed away in a large oak tree in the middle of the Demon forest, south of Mount. Hikari. Unfortunately, Juila’s body was sealed away in the book However, her soul was placed in the child.

Hello Everyone, My Name is Kamar E. Baldwin, and I am the creator and Author of Ancient Beast. I was born in Newark, New Jersey. When I was a child, I watched and read an endless amount of anime, manga, etc. As I got older I told myself I would love to make anime one day or write my own anime story. And that's when it hit me, graduating high school. An idea that inspired me to write my own story. Along the way, I put my passion for my story aside and went into music. However, I would imagine episodes of my book in anime format. Which brought me back to my number one dream. 10 years of plotting and planning brainstorming plots and twists. PROLOGUE

Ancient Beast is a tale of Derth, the Dragon of Darkness, whose plans are to annihilate the human race. Because he believes human life is a parasite to the world. A Brave Knight named Kane Brawler was on an escorting mission for the King of the Flame Kingdom, and another land ambushed his company. Kane, along with his team, was defeated. However, Kane’s rage summoned Derth and killed all of his enemies. Derth granted him power but at a price: his firstborn child would be his vessel.

While he was away, Derth possessed Julia while she was asleep due to Kane’s promise to Derth. She killed everyone in the Kingdom. By morning, Julia had burned everything, and demons scattered across the land. Once Kane returned, seeing the Flame Kingdom engulfed in flames. He and his second-in-command set out to look for Julia.

On their travels, they visited a powerful sorcerer named Azura Winbald. He resided on Mount Hikari, and upon their visit, a beautiful priestess named Luna of the night accompanied them to stop Derth. They traveled three weeks searching for the other Ancient Beasts to seek help from them to stop Derth’s plans. Two days before the total lunar eclipse, Kane and his new partners battled countless demons to get to Julia before Kane’s child was born. Julia’s water broke on the night of the total Lunar eclipse, and rays from the total Lunar eclipse opened a Massive dark portal in the middle of the night sky. They shined on Julia, lifting her in the night sky in the center of the massive doorway that led to the demon world.

The battle raged on for hours due to the four brave Heroes and four of the Ancient Beasts. Ryuuji (Fire Dragon), Mano (Water Shark), Dunia (Rock Lion), and Nilch’i (Wind Eagle). They Had helped Azura seal away all 5 Beasts inside a Book, calling it The Book of The Beast. The book was locked away in a large oak tree in the middle of the Demon forest—South of Mount Hikari. Unfortunately, Julia’s body was locked away in the book. However, Azura placed her soul into her child.

Eight years have passed since then, and our story will now unfold.

CHAPTER 1

The Boy in Black and a Father’s Old Friend

This story takes place at a cemetery where one of our heroes has lost someone important to him. A young boy with a bronze skin tone, dressed in all-black clothing and black combat boots. He has semi-long black dreadlocks, and around his neck shines a golden pendant of a swallow. While standing over a gravestone, the boy looks to his left and sees a rose bush rustling. Out of the bushes jumps out an ogre. It’s a miniature-sized ogre demon. It has big arms, tiny legs, and a massive head with orange snake-type skin covering its body. I hit the jackpot, says the ogre demon. Before running toward the boy, leaping in the air, dropping down with a double hammer fist, and landing toward the boy. The boy bounces away before getting hit. Get back here, you little human meat! Haha! says the ogre demon chasing after the boy. You have to catch up to me first, demon," says the boy. He jumps onto a nearby tree and then lands on a branch.

The name is Kano, Kano Brawler, the boy says introducing himself. Remember it when I send you to the afterlife, says Kano. Without warning, another ogre demon appears behind Kano from the shadows of the tree and throws a punch at Kano. Kano turns around with his fast reflexes, grabs his dagger, and cuts off its arm, then kicks the other ogre demon in the face while jumping out of the way.

No way…this kid is that fast, says Ogre 1, backflipping while Ogre 2 is screaming in agony, rolling in the grass. MY ARM! Ha!…ha!…ha! Kano laughs triumphantly, "I told you, you low-level piece of trash, I’m a Brawler, son of Kane Brawler, the greatest warrior that ever lived in the Flame Kingdom," says Kano. Everything goes silent, and the two ogre demons laugh at Kano.

He can’t be serious ‘bwahaha! says Ogre 1, laughing hard. Make it stop my arm..bwahaha! Ogre 2 laughs in agony, rolling in the grass. Kano’s Spirit Energy changes from white to pure black, nearly consuming him. Ogre 1 continues to laugh at Kano, praising his father. He doesn’t know that his father was a traitor and... Before Ogre 1 can finish his statement, Kano’s energy cuts off its head and freezes its body.

Kano turns to Ogre 2, and it is not there. However, Ogre 2 leaves a trail of its blood, which leads to a gravestone. Ha…ha! Take this traitor, says Ogre 2, standing above the tombstone and peeing over it. You disgusting piece of trash, you will suffer a thousand deaths for what you have done, says Kano as his eyes glow bright red. When Kano’s red eyes brighten up, they resemble black dragon eyes. Ogre 2 vanishes; nothing but a splat of its blood hits the ground. Kano drops to one knee, his Spirit Energy changes to white, and memories of his father come pouring into his head. My son, you are not like the other children… you are special, said Kane. Kano closes his eyes and raises to his feet while opening his eyes. He walks over to the tombstone. I know this is not with Mother like you asked. But at least it’s still home… Father, says Kano. A single tear rolls off Kano’s cheek, and then he wipes it away.

Kano buried his father, Kane Brawler, in the remains of the Flame Kingdom Graveyard for Fallen Warriors. Next to his best friend and second-in-command, Mikazi Hoshi of the Hoshi clan. Kano takes a deep breath. Until next time, Dad, says Kano. He turned around, picked up his bag lying by his boot, and walked away from his father’s gravestone. Kano reaches into his bag and pulls out a piece of folded-up paper. He opens the form, and it is a hand-drawn map. Kano sucks his teeth. Tsk, Dad, I can’t read your maps, says Kano. Two days have passed since Kano left the Fallen Flame Kingdom. Now, it should be around here, says Kano. He reaches the top of the mountain, Ahhh!... Damn you, father, and your stupid maps, he shouts. A big gust of wind picks up and blows the map out of his hand. Oh No! says Kano, as he chases after the map that blew off the mountain by jumping off of it. Oh no…you don’t, he says as he tries to grab the map mid-air, but the wind picks up again and blows it away. Oh, crap…I think it’s over for me. Now I’m going to die because of my father’s stupid map! says Kano in a panic. Before he hits the ground, a black hole opens under him. AH! he screams while looking at the black hole, which closes behind him as he falls in.

Kano hits the ground; however, he is not harmed. He opens his eyes and doesn’t see his hands before his face. What is this?… Am I dead? Kano asks himself out loud.

In the distance, Kano hears a growling sound from the darkness, "Hmm..so another low-level pipsqueak wants some of the great Brawler family…huh? Kano shouts in the dark. The growling stops, then silence overcomes the darkness as if nothing was there in the first place. Then lets out a ferocious roar from the darkness covering Kano like death, grabbing Kano’s whole body. Ugh! This is bad. I have to get out of here, he says to himself. With his willpower, Kano broke free because the darkness covered the entire area. Kano runs and runs in the dark till he sees the light. Yes, I have to run to the light; it has to be a way for me to get out of here, says Kano. He runs into the light, and on the other side is a village gate. What in the world- Kano is interrupted by a traveling merchant, Hey, Kid!, Out of the damn road! he shouts. Kano steps off the road. Damn tourist, says the merchant. Hey, wait! Can you tell me where we are now? Kano asks the merchant to stop before he rides off. You are in Light Village, you idiot!" shouts the merchant.
