Chapter One

"Not even death nor the hungry sharks could separate us, my love.

They spared you for me? Amanda replied brimming with tears of joy. Who wouldnt?

On a lighter mood, they said that I am old.

Who said so my love? It is because they couldn't understand. Age is not written on a man's face. Amanda ran her soft hands from his frontal bone to the chin, the bottom of his face, specifically to the typical jutting jawline below the mouth, feeling his tender love, kindness and inner beauty. Then she smiled as if she had won a lottery while she waited for his response.

The sharks. They said that my meat would break or crack their teeth.  Both of them laughed at the little wisdom of the ignorant sharks. If only they knew...

That your meat would be tender and sweet like your heart is... The jokes had them giggling like little girls all the way.

"Honey, on a more serious note what really happened this whole year you went missing? Amanda drew back and sat down to listen.

"My story? That story would populate our next book, The journey so far, he whispered into her ears, tickling her ribs and exuding joy.

Or romance with the sharks! Amanda threw back at him.

Or an agreement never to die yet!

I thought I could swim well like a fish when I went under that water to rescue you but I was wrong. My guts failed me and succumbed to the fiery raging tempest of the water currents.

OM was swept away by a swift current that plunged him into a steep waterfall sort of. By the time he realized his location he was already out there in the high sea with bruises and blood. What men do for love. Unfailing love or unconditional love?

What feared me was the blood which sharks could smell or sense from a distance. Just like I anticipated they were already coming for me.

His saving grace was an abandoned shark hunter's or explorer's iron cage that protected them from attacks from sharks. He dived or dove into one with a snorkel, a breathing aid. The sharks could only strike
