In his latest work Believe, Dr. Van Moody reveals faith not only as the foundational building block of a well-formed spirituality, but the very means by which the invisible God manifests His unseen will into the visible world (through us). Believe is an invitation to those who seek to reignite their faith and a guide for all who refuse to live beneath their divine potential.
~ Wayne Chaney
Influencer, TV Personality, Sr Pastor
Antioch Church of Long Beach
I confess a sense of fear in the face of this invitation into the topic of faith. My fear is that many will pass up this work due to the grip of their assumed familiarity. Dr. Moody accurately points out the abused, misused, and misunderstood concepts of faith. However, by faith I trust that your steps have been providentially prepared, ordered and poised for this journey; that you did not pick it up by accident. Prepare for a journey of and into faith. I assure you this is not an exhibition of theologizing or philosophizing but Dr. Moody practicalizes theory and humanizes the divine principle of faith. This is not a high shelf offering of lofty pseudo-deep arguments of a hackneyed, frequently tossed around, spiritual catch phrase. This is not a sermon. It is not a Sunday school lesson. It is a revelation of a mandatory contemporary mindset for victory, success, and productivity in the both the natural and spiritual realm. Be blessed as you grow in faith!

Dr. Van Moody has written a must-read for the times in which we live. As we look around, we find people falling to pieces, because they have lost hope. People have been putting their faith in external measures only to receive disappointment in return. In the midst of watching tv news, and social media news, we cannot forget about the Good News. His real-life examples aligned with Biblical principles will speak to Christians and non-Christians alike. So much is going on in the world and Believe serves to sooth our souls and remind us that God fueled faith leads us to the more excellent way. This insightful, impactful book is filled with instruction for those that need to find faith and redirection for those needing to rekindle their faith. This book builds a house for our faith and provides tools needed to insure it is built on a firm foundation. I found myself hanging on to every word of Believe! This is the book I wish I had during a critical, crisis filled juncture in my life. My faith was on the fringes and at risk of slipping away. It is my sincere prayer that this book makes its way to the hands of many that need to be comforted, convicted, challenged, and compelled to be better because they believe.

Introduction
One of the reasons real Biblical faith is so critically important is because many in our country and around the world are choosing to no longer believe in God. Many have lost confidence in the political, social, economic, and religious systems of their nations and opted out of mainstream life. Many no longer think there can be peace on earth or that the United Nations can prevent wars. Others have given up on politicians’ efforts to solve our national problems and the ability of scientists to meet our growing medical and environmental challenges. Still others live in daily fear of terrorism or feel they can only stand by helplessly and watch the devaluation of human life through ethnic cleansing, abortion campaigns, and wars.
Humanity has been led to a critical crossroad, left wondering if there is an alternative to the world as we have made it. In essence, a lot of people have simply stopped believing in anything or anyone – they have simply lost their faith in faith.
While it is absolutely tragic to lose a job, to lose a spouse, to lose a child, or a home, or a business, these are not the greatest losses one can experience. The greatest loss in life on earth is the loss of belief. When one loses the ability to believe, one loses both faith and hope! When hope is lost, purpose is cancelled and life is robbed of meaning.
Belief is the raw material required for commitment, persistence, and faithfulness. When belief is lost, life has no explanation. Faith gives us hope, so if faith is lost, hope flees away like mist in the wind. Loss of faith leads to loss of hope, which leads to despair. Life becomes pointless and without value.
The poorest person on earth is the person without faith. No man or woman can live beyond their belief, for without faith all hope is lost. If we believe big, our life is full of endless possibilities, limitless opportunities. If our belief is gone, our life shrinks because possibilities become limited and our expectations are low. It has been the enemy’s plan from the very beginning.
If we go back and study what the enemy did to bring about the original sin, we see the evidence of the enemy’s plan and how he carried it out. The enemy caused Eve to doubt and no longer believe God. He simply asked, Did God really say…?
He sowed the seeds of doubt in her heart and mind. It ultimately led her to not believe God. This has been the enemy’s plan from the very beginning.
Introduction
The devil is not after our money – he doesn’t need it. He’s not after our house, our clothes, our spouse, our children, or anything else we think he is after. He is coming for only one thing—our faith. He knows if he can steal our faith so we no longer believe God, everything else in our lives will fall apart. He knows if he can steal our faith, we will be spiritually bankrupt and unable to fulfill the purpose for which God put us on the planet. We will no longer believe God exists or that He responds to us when we seek Him.
This summer my family and I went on sabbatical to Europe for a month. The first two
