The air was suffocating and hot. Ian could feel perspiration layering his skin, the small droplets sliding down his spine. There was a weight pressing down on him together with the heat, refusing to release him from going back to sleep. He rolled on his back, his eyes opening and darting around the bedroom that was weakly lit by the greyness of the morning, then focused on the two blankets lying over him.
